had this discussion about burlesque dancing with a friend the other day.. burlesque = stripping it is "the art of tease" in an older fashioned type of choreography but nothing else is different than that of a stripper who gets put down just because she works in a crappy club. yet the "burlesque" dancer gets praised for her "art" and "talent" when a modern stripper can dance so much better (in my city there is no touching a stripper). yet its one and the same, just frm different eras.

and both has the same purpose = if a guy doesnt get a boner from watching a burlesque show its proly not really burlesque because its the purpose of it is the "art of tease". strippers do the same. all i'm sayin is that people should stop seeing it as "art" and see it as exotic dancing just like stripping because that's what it is, burlesque is just glorified stripping. (again, in my city there is no touching strippers/exotic dancers) *no intention to offend etc
