Thanks Carina - I spent a bit more time on the video to simplify the opening and enhance the impact, reducing the credits from 30 secs to 5 secs, but the song and performance were great already! - love from John xxx
Thanks Wiesiek, yes this is often a suitable song for sad events like that. I had been sitting on this one for a while, and finally decided to do it last weekend. I think there was an angel telling me it was needed for someone special. I'm sure Dallas would love it too, he was often among the first to comment and made some dreams come true and will be sorely missed by us all - cheers from John.
Yes thats right Krissy, they've done many great songs like this that are timeless classics! They will get long deserved recognition by being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 15th - greetings from John!
Thanks Bruno - yes this sincere song suits Frida's deeper voice very well and its quite creative to have her additionally floating above and behind them a bit like like an angel! We all have dreams and we tend to think of this inspirational song when we want to come true - cheers from John!
Many thanks Elin, very kind of you! This is their most inspirational song, so I gave the video a tweak to increase the starting impact! Yes it seems they used an array of instruments that we've hardly heard off like an electric sitar to create all those unique sounds that only Abba make and no-one else! Frida has just the right level in her voice to convey the feeling of inspiration to us and it seems that Bjorn still remembers everybody who was in every choir!
Thanks Jim - yes we all have our dreams, and Abba have helped them to come true for quite a lot of people - like tribute bands and Mamma Mia show people all over the world!
It certainly was Isabelle, hence I left the startup in! Any show that could have mega band Abba perform 4 of their biggest hits at their height - I Have A Dream, Does Your Mother Know, Voulez-Vouz and Chiquitita - in one program was definitely worth staying in for! And it was very nice that it was broadcast all over South Anerica for the fans there, who would not see the group otherwise!
Thanks Carl - yes the sitar makes for a very distinctive Greek opening sound, especially if played full volume! Its great how many different sounds like this Abba were able to create for different songs without being repetitive! The split screen idea with Frida singing floating above and behind them is interesting, I guess its to reflect "having a dream" or "believing in angels"! If you need some inspiration then this is the Abba song to listen to, a bit like Imagine is with John Lennon!
Cheers Francisco - I thought I would leave a bit of the opening credits in for nostalgia in case anyone recognised it - and you've done that straight away! Paca Gabaldon does actually talk for 24 seconds in the opening but I had to leave that out as it would distract from Abba achieving their dream!
Yep,....sure enough the fab four had a DREAM and it came TRUE on 'em,...Thanx for postin' this vid John boy,...and the info at right,....anything ABBA is INTERESTIN' INDEED,...sendin' ya 5* and thankin' ya for the share! = )
Cheers Jose - yes they proved that you did not have to be British or American to be an international success in the 70's! If the songs are good enough then your dream comes true - though Stig helped a bit with his magic too!
