@KG4PLP Am going to talk about that in the next slide show. In general 100 lbs of food waste can give you up 20-25 lbs of grubs. I have been told that the prairie chicken would eat about 1/3 grains, 1/3 leafy greens and 1/3 insects. Most of the protein comes from eating insects. An urban homesteader in Dallas tries to follow these norms for 12.

So, I want to know how much organic waste you would need to grub compost in order to feed 5 chickens? Would the chickens need any other proteins?

She also has some feed for backup.
