@Rotormast I have a V-22 and can't get it off the ground. Got it from Banana Hobby and they are no help what so ever. One engine over powers the other. Trying to get info on how to get to electronics to adjust. The book shows a set screw but not telling you how to get to it without any damage to the plane. Can you help?
whats up will the propeller rotors not tilting forward for forward flight or is that in the making to be shown soon. Anyways nice job though on the build looks great and the vertical movement looks awesome. wish I could dedicate time to build a VTOL RC harrier soon myself.
Thanks. If you can swing me a ride, I will come out and give you and your squad a nice demonstration. I work for Bell and am familure with the great job you and the V-22s are doing.
me and my friend have an rc hunter killer from terminator that we made but it needs a gyro because right now it lifts off an inch and wants to go everywhere at once we used ducted fans instead of the jet turbines used on the movie
Glad you like the real one. I work for Bell in Fortworth and have spent several years designing the real one. But have enjoyed making the model more. Still in work.
G'day, nice job on the model. I always thought the tiltrotor concept was revolutionary but I was wondering. how come they didn't try to reposition the engines to between the wings above the fuselage and run the blades on a common shaft? a better defensive position? you could then redesign to tilt the whole wing so the prop wash does not bounce off the top taking away lift.
Rotormast... great job with that model! I love it. Nice flying as well man. I just switched from being a CH-46E pilot and I'm now flying the MV-22's and I love it. You should bring that model out to New River and we'll get you into a full motion sim so you can see how great it is to fly from the cockpit. Keep it up!
Just got a new camera for and am about to start up testing again. Now that some new electronics have been completed. Will try and post something next month.
Yes the Air Force flies a V-22 variant, specifically the CV-22, equipped with terrain following radar, IR and EW warning and other features that enable night special ops.
I don't believe anything you say. Sounds like you are talking out of your ass. You are a reservist, you probably haven't even ever seen one. Even if you are right about the equipment the fact is, you are still a douche.
As if you know what the fuck that might entail? How about deployment to combat zones? How about experience handling vehicles that include some very exotic and classified cargos?
I'm not going to go any further than that Mr Slashdot physicist.
Classified cargos? Ha ha ha ha, like what, your boss's dinner? Who cares about your "classified cargo." Like information on anything you might be carrying isn't readily available on the internet.
they still crash.the only reason they kept crashing is becasue when they reach high altitudes, the V-22 starts to have a pressure problem inside the cargo and making the air thinner making it lose control.
Dude, you seriously need to get a clue. None of what you wrote is true. The two biggest fatal crashes of the V-22 were attributed to: 1. Vortex Ring state and 2. Software problem.
They crashed because of an air pressure problem that existes in all rotor aircraft but is easier to maneuver out of in a single rotor vehicle like a helicopter. The funny thing is that when the vortex above a propeller is present all the operator has to do is nudge the plane forward but it was counter intuitive. now the iarcraft has software that recognizes the problem and corrects it in real time so the pilot can't mess up and crash.
I know about VRS and how it works. I have a degree in physics. The audio warning was a quick fix but I read an article a couple of years ago in popular science about autonomous crash avoidance in cars that used the osprey problem as an example. It said that there was a system that took over the controls and nudged the rotors forward out of VRS without input from the pilot. I'm not in the Marines so I don't know for sure if it is in use, but it does exsist. Are you a fucking osprey expert?
Your degree hasn't done you a shit worth of good it seems. Especially in light of the fact that you can't seem to apply the information in terms of what is actually used on military aircraft. How would you I have a knowledge of what is actually used on it? Inside sources help.
