  • @johnny13591 yes not getting enough sleep gives the most vivid crazy dreams. Its nuts.

  • kevin cadogan is by far my second favourite guitarist. Legend.

  • third eye blind

  • I fell asleep.

  • Wow... I can't believe there isn't a greater library to dissemble the myriad poetry at work here.

3ib militates the vanilla of our pale universe. Putrefaction to the diseased minds exhorting their value.

  • @les777pl who made you the grammar nazi

  • LOVE IT!

  • best band ever i love all there music

  • @stonecoal28 Fuuu, you're from U$A and you can't even spell "their" right?

  • up yours douchebag spelled that right didnt I

  • The father of a girl who fell in love with me showed me this band. He works for Sabian, the company. He's into all that good shit.

You can never really appreciate how much they put into these songs.

Gotta sit down and actually listen.

Good songs for both chilling and feeling.

  • narcolpesy is a terrible desease. im also a patient and lucky that im not the worst off. i found this on a narcolepsy website and just had to command that its SO DAMN AMAZING that there is a song about this ilness!!!!!

*hardly anyone ((in our country)) knows about this desease so...*

  • @trimiynchan

i completely agree. i also have narcolepsy and i was happy to find a good song that wasn't making fun of it. barely anyone understands what the disease really is.

  • thanks for uploading, amazing song from an amazing band!!

  • @llamatoe13 haha no fuckin way

  • @curlysue427 shut the fuck up they rock

  • listen to this song in the car max volume summer night windows down it is incredible

  • 1 person fell asleep

  • Why is it the 90s gets Third Eye Blind and the 00s gets Nickelback? I'm technically a 90s kid but far too young to have listened to any music in that era

  • I remember riding around with my uncles and listening to this album when I was like 9. Nothing beats the 90's. Glad I got to experience that awesome decade..

  • fucking 90s kids. I'm sorry if you missed it

  • I think this is 3EB's best song. Well at least it's my favorite. I absolutely love Steven's voice in the first verse. Then I get pumped throughout the rest!

  • There 95 people that like this song and one guy in the big crowd saying I dont like this lmao :)

  • Anybody else get reminded of "Inception" whenever they hear this song? I know I do!

  • THIS is my new favorite song from the band I've adored since the beginning. I even owned this cd at one time but now I'm just happy to hear these tracks on YT-- and I love reading all your comments

  • this entire album is beast.

  • probably my favorite song ever

  • This song is my father in a nutshell. Beer is his great equalizer and prevents him from falling asleep, or helps him stay awake, oddly enough. Seeing him live with it for so many years now, it's easy to imagine this process in his head.

  • @eondanae Best part is, if he heard this song he'd probably go cataleptic. -_-

  • I always listen to this song when I am flying for some reason. One of my favorite songs to listen to on a airplane

  • lets hunt down the 1 person who disliked this

  • the more i hear this song the better it is

  • One of the best songs on the CD and the whole CD is awesome.

  • "And there's a bone in my had that connects to a drink

In a crowded room where all the glasses clink"

What an amazing line. And then that solo at 2:11....

  • these guys are just genious nuff said.

  • awesome song i dont think i have it though even though i am almost always tired

  • we all walk alone. thank you 4 sharing the lyrics. love all the songs on this album. they say what i cannot.

  • could the font be any smaller?

  • the lyrics are wrong

  • As someone who has narcolepsy, I can totally relate to this song. Oddly enough this song came out about the same time I was first diagnosed, and it made me cry. Still does sometimes, but I love it.

  • @zizwop I just heard this song for the first time. It definitely describes the nightmare of living without it treated properly. Are you on Xyrem? It has been a miracle for me. NO MORE DAYTIME SLEEPINESS!! I am a completely different person now, actually living life rather than sleeping all the damn time.

  • @queenvelvet Yes, I was actually in several clinical trials for Xyrem-works great, better than anything I have ever taken for narcolepsy. I currently have no medical insurance and cannot afford the medication, would be really nice to have that right now.

  • @zizwop Do you have dreams when you pass out.

  • @CoolConejo Not sure what you mean about passing out-if you are referring to what the doctors call a 'sleep attack' -then yes, I dream. I always dream-sometimes it's ok, but many times it isn't. Because Narcolepsy is characterized by the ability to hit the REM phase with the onset of sleep-we dream, and it's vivid. This is what makes the song even more powerful, while just having it is the nightmare, we are no strangers to actual nightmares.

  • @zizwop His narcoepsy is probably brought on by drugs

  • @cocainebuffet I don't know if you're cracking a joke or not, but because of Narcolepsy, I have VERY vivid dreams, nightmares that would make you piss your pants, almost nightly, and the overall nightmare of dealing with something that not many people understand-at all, hence the line, how'd you like to be alone and drowning, that's EXACTLY how I feel, and it's not fun.

  • @zizwop that soudns great..but no im serious its prolly drug related

  • @cocainebuffet No, it's not. If you had ever experienced symptoms associated with narcolepsy, it would make a lot more sense. The song writer had experienced something called sleep paralysis, which I have quite often, along with other characteristics like hypnogogic hallucinations, i.e., the vivid nightmares. So he wrote a song about it. Did this happen because he was high? Probably not as you would just typically pass out-something I would rather have than this other crap.

  • @zizwop i used to have to same dream all the time when i was snortin shit..

  • @zizwop as weird as it may be, i am someone with narcolepsy too, havent had it as long as you, but i do have it and know where you are coming from. however that cocaine guy there...just forget him. drug heads dont understand it. i added one...i will admitt that he did try, really hard. but you cant understand it unless you have it.

  • @cocainebuffet i bet your right it is tweak also i would bet

  • Nacrcolepsy, characterized by being drowsy or fall asleep or just be very tired throughout the day, often at inappropriate times and places. Daytime naps may occur with little warning and may be physically irresistible. These naps can occur several times a day. They are typically refreshing, but only for a few hours. Drowsiness may persist for prolonged periods of time. In addition, night time sleep may be fragmented with frequent awakenings.

  • nys nys

  • I lovee this song and 3eb!

  • damn i love this band, specially this song..

  • Yeah, I have automatic behaviors, twitches, shakes, chills, stretches. I do things I have no recollection of. The lyrics to this song describe the pain of narcolepsy very very well. There is no rest, you run on autopilot for years. The people around you think you are lucid and you are not. You feel uncomfortable 100% of the time. You lose track of long periods of time. You mix up your dreams and reality. Relationships are too painful and do not last. Sometimes you will beg for death.

  • i grew up around this fucking band ther amazing

  • Right on

  • @jackisa2 but the suck horribly live. ive seen it and it hurt my ears

  • r u talking about the song or r u telling the guy who commented under u to man up

  • what a brilliant song!

  • Did anyone know that narcolepsy has a common symptom known as automatic behavior?Which is subconsciously spitting out words and shit and not remembering what you said after.

My girl just left after 7 years living together for another guy. I don't sleep much but i love 3EB.

  • sell all of your shit ! and hit the road! get out there and see what the worlds really like!

  • sorry to hear that jawscatz

  • i listen to them so much and i grew up arouind them and FUCKING LOVE THEM

  • This is such great music. This is why I am still a fan.

  • This has been my fave band for about ten years. Their songs never fail to take on new meaning no matter how many times i listen to them. But OOTV is a much lower quality of workmanship than their old stuff.

  • this song IS narcolepsy:

    keeps me from falling asleep

keep awake, keep awake, keep awake

i lay me down but i get no release

and I close my eyes and dream that I'm awake

    The last is the worst

  • "How'd you like to be alone and drowning".

That's definetly how i'm feelin. "bone in my hand that connects to a drink." hello to drinking your sorrows away. terrible but true

  • Their lyrics are the best ever.

"I'll buy you a beer and we'll drink it deep

'cause that keeps me from falling asleep"

  • it's like there aren't any more bands like this anymore..

or maybe i've just become one of those older people who say that the music of their generation is so much better than the current stuff. :P

  • I agree entirely.

  • I'm actually 13 and I really love this song so you kinda don't have to worry about that (:

  • Naw. I'm thirteen and have loved them since I've known em. Which is since I was ten ^^

  • It's a shame that so little people know about this band! I try to keep awake..

  • Could anyone do songs as great as this? 3eb you need to get out of your shell. Make me live again!

  • agreed!

  • man i love this song. love how it changes tempos

  • def my favorite 3EB song

  • agreed

  • yeah, thats not funny but its true

  • ...slide into another nightmare!! There's a demon in my head got i love this song sooooo much <3

  • this song makes me all sad.. and i don't know why.. =[ but i love it =]
