  • This is not advanced

  • Advanced? I can do this with my eyes closed!

  • And front on my team goes to the side on cradel to catch the legs

  • My front spot holds the shins

  • My sisters a cheerleader and she does not have a front base!!!! I hate how cheer teams have front bases it would bother me if i was a front base! Nice Cradle, but i need more info!!!

  • Im a flyer but I dont have a base in the front , so i get REALLY scared that if i fell forward no one will be there and i'll just hit my head

  • im a flyer on my team and i've only practiced going up once and it was horrible loll . and this video didnt really help at all can anyone give me some good tips ?

  • Nice, clean cradle. Good overall demonstration of what to do, but individual positions will need more specific information.

  • ha i learnd this stunt in 3rd grade and thats saposed to be pro

  • you know it looks better if the flyers feet are together when up in the air

  • This is not advanced.... we do this everyday at practice!!!

  • Yall Call This Advanced ? Hahahahahahahhahaha! (:

    Yall Suckk !

  • that was the perfectest cradle

  • your count is kinda pointless, trying doing 1.. 2.. down.. up.

  • Wow, your cradle was super clean. Loved it!

  • keep your eyes on the prize girls! 1 of the bases wasn't even looking at the flyer! That is called very stupid...

  • that bigger women whos maining, shes like 40 why is she cheerleading.

  • i thought the bases were supposed to look at each other to make sure they are in sync and together so they dont mess up and cause the flyer to fall.....and i love how they didnt explain safety.

  • @jennybellz bases are never supposed to look at anything/one besides the flyer

  • very nice & clean! :)

  • I have done cheer before I live in the uk so it is not to popular here but there are loads of fanatics about cheer I am teaching some friends how to do stunt, tumbles and other stuff I searched in you tube for simpe easy stunts and this video came up the reason why was I wanted to show the girls a video when in cheer when I was coming down from cradle I hit a girl in the face as the coach did'nt explain propally so I really don't want that to happen agin but I don't no if i can trust this video

  • when the flyer goes into the "frog position" its really bad. and how is this advanced. imma freshman on my cheer squad (first year) adn this was the second day of practice and we got this down in maybe 30 mins.

  • im so happy my team is big this year. we are working on stunts tomorrow and we have four stunt teams of five. last year there was 3 stunt teams of four. thats a lot considering im on a 7th and 8th grade team. im backspot.

  • im doing cradles and fulls next practice!

  • Oh my god girl! I'm 11 and 87.5 pounds! U need to gain sum weight

  • i do stunts all the time in cheerleading im thirteen and im only seventy pounds im the lightest so im allways on top

  • itz called a front sopt not a front person duhhh

  • @LilMama6621 It depends where you live. It can be called either

  • they say advanced in the title but they said a basic prep????

  • nice and very advanced adn perfect!

  • this is really easy. im 13 and we do this stuff all the time. you need to try harder stunts and always have the flyer in a arm position it keeps her weight up

  • girl. for sure they can do harder things, as you have seen that they are really good. but this is a damn vid for expert village and the try to teach all the silly persons who don't understand do make a prep how to do it. so it's not their regular routine but a vid for others to understand how to work on a prep.

  • @babieboohandkimmit im 13 too and i do harder stunts at cheer as well. however this video is just showing the basic stunt for those just learning. this specific video was made for people who DON'T know how to do this. and for people who are new and its their first time trying, it might not be easy. stop bragging.

  • @babieboohandkimmit In case you havent noticed this is for newbies who are just learning. They did this stunt almost perfect so obviously they can do more advanced stuff.

  • GREAT cradle.

    its reallyy good.

  • awesome cradle.

  • why does everyone step in on all these vids???? jumping in looks so much better

  • LibertineDeSade you are totally right. you people are acting like this is some level 5 team. news flash its only a learning video. so chill

and jewel person that base seems really good from the other videos so shut up, its doesnt matter how big u are to be a cheerleader, not saying i am big but like stfu

  • isn´t it called an elevator??

  • that is so easy try way harder stunts

  • yeah this is definetly a half press, and you definetly dont need a front spot! i do these everyday and i have never used a front spot! you dont need one and its not required, we use a back spot but they dont have to be taller than the bases!

  • @loveiyou1 Yes they do need to be taller than the bases if you are going up into extension.

  • @loveiyou1 It really is somewhat helpful if the back/backspot is taller than the bases. In extended stunts, the back needs contact with the flyer's ankles to help steady the stunt and pull up some. To me, there is a big difference between a "spot" and an actual "back." A spotter is there "just in case;" a back actually assists with the building of the stunt (many can happen without a back, but...).

  • w/e just saying how we dont need front spots for a prep first of all thats not high up at all so w/e hunny. The rest of the ppl would've caught her trust me. and mabeyy its ur flyers fault for not gettting her foot back in there.

  • U DONT NEED A FRONT SPOTTTTTT for a prep c'mon how is that advanced?????????? im on varsty but still we stopped using frontspots in pee-wee

  • Better safe then sorry.

I've had times where her foot slid out of my hand and the back couldnt lift her up so i could slide it back. And who mostly caught her ? The front. Accidents happen

    everywhere

=D is that okay with you sweetheart ?

Stop bragging. I'd rather have a

    bruise from being caught, then

a concussion from the gym floor (:

  • You guys keep forgetting these are teaching videos. It is entirely possible that someone watching this has never done this stunt before. That being said it would be very irresponsible for Expert Village to put this up without showing it done with all the safety precautions.

And it may be easy for someone like you who's been doing it forever but there are newbies out there who will find this stunt and others like it to be difficult and scary. Get off your high horse.

  • some new flyers need someone in front so they don't fall because your wobbaly at first so cool your jets XP

  • @cheerleaderstar95 this is for teams just learning to stunt, and it's safer to use a front spot when you're learning, this isn't a video showing off their skills, or i'm sure they wouldn't need one.

  • i knoww...thts wat i thaught =[ lol

  • I'm a flyer on a JV team and have only been stunting for about a week and I've done thigh stands, twist up thigh stands, thigh stand to elevator, elevators, extensions, mountain climbers, J-ups, shoot the ducks, cuppies, twist ups, hopscotch elevators, reloads, shoulder sits, straight arch cradles, kick cradles, twist cradles, 2 different kinds of pyramids, and that's just the ones I can remember... and we don't use a front spot. this isn't advanced...

  • umm ok u dont need all thos girls just 2 go into prep position prep positon only needs 2 for base and a Flyer if u go into extention then u need a backspot but stunts look better without front spoters!!!

  • how can you not use a back spot?? im pretty sure they're required in comp for most stunts....

  • @ my school she doesnt load in 1 foot @ a time. We count 1 2 down up.

  • yeah mine too but we call this a half

  • at my skool we only use a back spotter just to be safe but if we dont need 1 we dont use 1

  • on my cheer squad we dont have to use a frontspot only a backspot cause im only 9 years old and alot of littler kids get lifted and there 4 and 5 years old

  • when do u stand up in a half?

  • when there pushing up

  • when do u stand up???

  • you stand up on 3 4 at my school we stand up on 2 3

  • @polkadots1600 stand up immediately after you push off, straighten your legs as soon as possible.

  • It looks alot better without a front spot. My flyer has just done it with me and my friend without a frontspot or a baackspot! This is soooooo not advanced!

  • The backspot doesn't hold most of the weight.. It only looks like that because they have to pull upward on their ankles to make them balance it more.. Really the bases hold the most and same weight..

  • the front spot does nothing and actually the stunt would look better without a front spot

  • I was on a level one team my first year cheering, and there were no front spots even then, so I really see your point, but if anyone in the base group is iffy on the stunt, the front spot is a good idea. [=

  • the bcak spot should help lift the flyer in on 3,4 holdin them at the waist. the flyer should not rely on the back spot as this will incurage bad technique. once in hang/squish position the back spot releases & moves her hands to da flyers ankles. on counts 5,6 squeaing da ankles she dips wit da bases thn on count 7 drives up to extension keepin da flyers ankles da same hieght (thus helpin da bases stay da same hieghts), & softens slightly to allow the flyers legs 2 seperate in2 da bases chest.

  • on counts 3, 4 base stay still and strong holding their position, on counts 5, 6 bases bend their legs ( to get the power) keeping thier arms at gut level. on 7 they push through their legs and extend their arms up and twisting their hands round so thier wrist are touching and thier fingertips are over the toe and heel. bases should aim to fully extend before lowering to chest level.

back spots and fronts arent really needed but in beginer teams they are

  • the bases should be in a pleay with thier knees facing forward and just past shoulder width, the bases need to make sure they are the same hieght (by checking the shoudlers are in line) they should not stick their bums out, instead roll them under like they are almost sitting, they should have their hands at gut level underneath the flyers feet (but should not be takin any wieght through the feet).

  • This video is ok! It doesnt really explain what the flyer needs to do!

her chest, knees and toes should all be in line when she is in the hang/squish in prepartion, her arms should be locked and the flyer should hold her own wieght and not bend her arm at all. the flyer should only put her wieght in the bases arm when she stand up on count 7 (is they did it in time) the flyer in this video stand up well, she shoots up and suck her but forward and hollows out her core!

    x just adding x

  • Why do they need a front spot for this? I have done this with no front spot or back spot. I only had my two bases. This isn't advanced...

  • good cradle but i hav 2 say *yawn* BORING!!!!!!

  • NICE cradle!!!! can u give me some ideas for 3 person stunting? we dont have any spotters, just bases. We know what were doing so its okay but i cant find any vids on 3 person stunts! leave me a message or cmnt on my channel plz! thnxx

  • Thats exactly how my school iz we only do 3 person stunts because we know wat we are doing too so i wish i could help u but sorry!Maybe you should try another website

  • everything was nice and tight good work and thumbs up on the cradle

  • For the cradle, try popping her straight up, she went back quite a way...if u look at the backspot, she moved her head back really far...so try popping her more up, and the flyer shouldnt lean back as far, when she is thrown=]

  • nice cradle but ever heard of a banana? u guys stunt way differently then us but ur bases throw good on that cradle

  • soo easy

  • how is this advanced?? you do not need a front spotter for this! and if you do you dont need to hold the bases wrists, but that is a nice cradle, but i've been doing that since i was 5 years old (mini cheer ;))

  • soo easy

  • awesome cradle
