Perry Nobles church is bursting at the seems....you may say that numbers don't matter, but when he has a solid amount of people coming to know Christ in a weekly service...then those numbers do matter....I'd rather attend a church where 75-80% of weekend attendance consist of the unchurched...homosexuals....thieves....etc than 100% christian. @marushamomma the gospel is the story of God grace. How we cannot get to God because of our sin. How God chose to leave heaven and to take on flesh and walk among us. Then He allowed himself to be sacrifeced for our sins, because he was the only worth sacrifice possible. And then through the workings of the Holy Spirit we are enabled to accept the grace that God has made abundant to us. Its all about Jesus and the love he poured out for us.

@marushamomma I have nothing against Lee Mcdermet for playing highway to hell during the worship service. It was done in an effort to speak to the lost souls in attendance. By the same token I don't blame either church for playing songs not traditionally associated with church during the service. They plan their services months in advance so that every detail is designed to point towards Christ.

I too have a degree in theology. I have also read and studied the Bible. Please, tell me what the gospel is.

@marushamomma the gospel is the story of God grace. How we cannot get to God because of our sin. How God chose to leave heaven and to take on flesh and walk among us. Then He allowed himself to be sacrifeced for our sins, because he was the only worth sacrifice possible. And then through the workings of the Holy Spirit we are enabled to accept the grace that God has made abundant to us. Its all about Jesus and the love he poured out for us.

@marushamomma these men are not false teachers. they also do not shape church around what the world wants. I have been to both churches. I don't know if you have actually studied church history or theology, but nothing that they said was blasphemous. I'll give you that Pastor Perry did seem a little mean, but thats the only fault.

@wrestlecapt07 Unfortunately, they are false teachers. Please, study them and find out for yourself. Look at their teaching and compare it to the Bible. If you agree with them and defend them, you are in peril. Please, read and study the Bible. Find out what the true gospel is.

@marushamomma I have a degree in theology, which means I know what the "true gospel" is, and I have studied these teachers, and their churches. I used to attend one of their churches in college, so I am very well versed in what both pastors believe and teach. I would argue that the only reason you are attacking them is because their churches are larger than yours. I mean I don't see you attacking westboro baptist church.

@wrestlecapt07 I have actually talked about all sorts of false teachers on my blog such was I. Please, how can you make assumptions and tell me my motives? Are you God? Can you look into my heart? Please, stop judging by your own standards and start testing things in light of scripture.

@marushamomma I have nothing against Lee Mcdermet for playing highway to hell during the worship service. It was done in an effort to speak to the lost souls in attendance. By the same token I don't blame either church for playing songs not traditionally associated with church during the service. They plan their services months in advance so that every detail is designed to point towards Christ.

@marushamomma I did read the article you linked in with this video. And I can also assure you that as a soon to be church planter I already know what church is for. I can see that the great divide between evangelism and discipleship is too great for us to solve. So good luck with everything, and God bless you.

@wrestlecapt07 Please find out what the church of the Bible is supposed to be. I beg you, please truly study this. There are very good ministries you can look up. I suggest 9 marks ministry, Grace to You, Wretched radio. All of these are excellent places to start. Please, the gospel is too important and there are souls at stake.

@wrestlecapt07 Please, don't twist my words. The gathering of the saints is not a tool for evangelism, it is primarily for the glorification of God and it is for edification, administering the Word and gospel centered preaching, and it is for administering the sacraments. I don't really think you read the link or studied anything about the church. Please, study up on these things and refrain from commenting without substantiated arguments.

@wrestlecapt07 please show me specifically where I have done this. I have listen to so much of what they have said and taught. They are not ministers of the true gospel and they do not fit the biblical qualification of pastor.

Also, I was not judging your heart and I apologize if that is how I came off. But for too long the church has been known for what we stand against, and far too often we are against everyone else that doesn't ideologically match up with ourselves. Just because you don't agree with everything that a person, pastor, or church does doesn't mean that they are false teachers or teaching anything other than the gospel.

you clearly don't get it, Church exist for the people dying of sin. It is not a country club for the elite and privileged. Furthermore, if you put the effort into building the kingdom of god that you clearly put into tearing it apart then you could have the success that these pastors (and their churches) have had in reaching people who are far from God.

@wrestlecapt07 the church is for the gathering of the saints, not to bring in the world and hope they hear the gospel by osmosis. I am in no way implying that it is an exclusive elite, I am saying that we do not cater to unbeleivers. We are not to shape church around what the world wants it to be. The church is not an evangelism tool. We are to go OUT and preach the gospel. These men are false teachers. It seems like you clearly don't get it.
