Because this chimpanzee is in captivity, and was filmed and put on the web for human enjoyment.. It is true that chimps do violence to each other in the wild; they have lived this way for millions of years-it's the natural way of things. Humans do the same thing on a much larger scale-it's called warfare. By the way, captive chimps cannot be released back into the wild, so that point is moot.
