That skyslider is a very, very nice option but I'm still not impressed with the exterior, it just looks like a Dodge Nitro and that's not a good design at all. It looks too heavy too IMO, the Cherokee was the perfect on road/off road vehicle. I've heard that the engine is a slug too, while Jeeps aren't meant for speed my 4.0 liter Cherokee and my current 4.0 liter Wrangler accelerate decently when needed.

The 08 Liberty's a nice truck, but the high-beams are useless, much easier to see at night with just the low-beams as they seem brighter than the high-beams. If you get one I highly recommend looking into aftermarket high-beams and possibly low-beams as well.

My father owns one... they say its 14l/100km.... but you gotta be really light on the gas pedal... Its usually 15l/100km

I got mine in March of this year with only 13K on it. I traded in my 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 for it. The gas mileage of the 92 Jeep is better despite having a older engine due to the fact the the 2008 Liberty is a much more heavy SUV. The sales sticker quoted 15L/100 K for city driving. I have not been able to get that. I average about 175k a week and I put in about 31 liters work of gas for the week. That works out to be about 17L/100 K I love my Jeep, however If mileage means alot..get Patriot

all brands have to stop this. if you can't tell a model unless it has the kidneys grille for bmw, crossbar for dodge, the wranglers grille for jeep you shouldn't get a drivers liscence.

the new liberty like the compass is just a dodge vehical with jeep rapped around it in this case its the nitro. go some were and park then side by side there exactly the same. thay just use the chasis and body of existing vehicals and thes bullshit

No, I see what you are saying. But you are incorrect. The new Liberty was designed first, then the Nitro borrows its architecture. The compass/patriot I will agree are piece of crap Dodge cars, but just make sure you research more.

The Cherokee is one of the best jeeps ever made...also one of the most influential autos ever produced. The Cherokee is VERY capable off road in stock form. The old liberty looks girly and at best frog like...the commander is nice but has gotten a ton of bad press for being a gas hog and one of Parent magazines best family vehicles(not very manly). The grand Cherokees are nice but too refined and pretty for most Jeep purists andthe SRT8 anything is a butt kicking road beast.

the patriot, compass, and commander all look the same. My dad has the Commander 5.7 L Hemi and its a beast

the nitro is from dodge and i saw him last winter in a car show and i don´t like it. Looks like a big toy car from my little brother. The original jeep is the best.
