  • Where were the backup vocals

  • dio on guitars.

  • Steve Z is "Jimmy Page" in Led Zeppagain, the tribute band for Zeppelin. He shreds !!

  • Oh my ears!!! I will sue!!

  • uo uo uo uo uo give me one voice!

  • laaame!

  • First vocalist was terrible... Rest of the band was goood :)

  • Did they pick that guitarist? The one with the Ronnie James Dio hair?

He was a bit up himself in his audition video but seems to know the music pretty well.

  • ROCK ON!!! :)

  • Thankyou for giving Raphael the exposure AT LAST

  • Severus Snape on drums

  • on 1:45 the guy sounds like FM, then he sounds "normal" again rsrssr

  • @Adrianats and some distrotion sometimes :(

  • Comment removed

  • 1:50 to 1:52 I heard FM or MJ? rsrs

  • @TheAcerB I remember this happened between Freddie & Roger. Freddie was playing the piano and singing but one thing is missing, Roger is not singing the chorus with Freddie as planned. Freddie continues to sing but quickly turns around and looks at Roger with a look of "what the h*** are you doing Roger?" but Freddie kept on going and didn't miss a beat. I can't tell what happened to Roger. Freddie knew what was expected of him even if mistakes were happening around him.

  • @TheAcerB I am not complaining. It's just that other people have said that he nailed it perfectly. That is misleading. I've read that the music was too loud and all the singers had a hard time hearing themselves. I do understand that mistakes can happen especially in this scenario. What I'm saying is that Marc has been doing this for a long time. He should know to keep going or maybe he couldn't do it. I don't know. It's each man for himself in a situation like this.

  • Le bassite est très bon le batteur très ordinaire..

  • @TheAcerB You are not understanding what I'm saying. I'm not talking about the musicians playing the instruments. Anyway, I want Marc & Cody and have no idea for the 3rd.

  • ~ Best of the bunch ... just add red shirt vocalist

  • Cody Rocks. The band was too loud and I think it must have interfered with the quality of the vocal line in. Any perceived weakness in the voice is technical.

  • Why all the hate? All these dislikes are a bunch of bull. The band was badass and so were the singers. You're just mad they didn't pick you or what? Because they made it there and you didn't right!! Jealousy is ugly

  • The band was pretty good here, especially the 2 guitarists - hopefully they make it. The singer cut off the first guitarist's solo! Bad on you, senor vox

  • Queen keeps with the lead-singer trouble...even on the tribute band stuff

    I think we gotta contact

    Mr. Farrokh Bulsara

    Address: Heaven

  • @TheAcerB Sorry, I meant to type "accept" in place of "except".

Oh dear, I just made a mistake. :)

  • @TheAcerB Years later this person said that he was telling Freddie the truth. He felt Freddie's performance was excellent. He was not lying to Freddie just to make Freddie feel good.

You see, Freddie expected perfection. He was very hard on himself. He didn't except mistakes, even small ones.

  • @TheAcerB It was very noticeable. Maybe something small for some one who is not familiar with Queen but when I see a singer who has had over ten years of singing professional I expect the singer to hit the notes with ease especially in a small setting like this.

After a concert in the early years Freddie left the stage and immediately asked a person what he thought of his performance. The person said that he thought he was great. Freddie got mad and said "wrong answer".

  • suenan muy bien :) , pero faltan voces :/....steve , nico (Y)

  • Good band, bad singer

  • @TheAcerB I trust you when you say you're a long time Queen fan. Just one question. What did you think when you heard the sound at the 1:49-1:50 mark in the Part 4 video?

  • I like Cody Bond. His energy is infectious. I found myself tapping my foot to it. His voice my not fit the music, but with practice, he could make a pretty good front man. Best of luck to him.I personally think he might be top 3.

  • @TheAcerB They didn't suck dude, you're just a hater.

  • That's good that they don't sound like Freddie. If that was what it was about there would be no contest. But it's about being a bad ass performer and singer. Not just a Freddie clone. No offense meant on Marc. He of course is fantastic as a Freddie vocal imitator. He admitted that's what he was going for on the Ellen Show

  • @livingston731 Thats true but they also wanted someone who was a fantastic musician. Freddie Mercury was without a doubt one of the most extraordinary singers ever. So even if the singer doesn't sound like him he still needs to be an unbelievable singer with an epic voice, and these guys just aren't there.

  • The audio was a little hard to hear. I'll bet they were tearing it up live! Instruments sounded right on it. And the singers do sound like they kick ass. I liked the texture in the guys voice that sang somebody to love. Good job Man! If you don't get it, it's because they can't pick all of you guys

  • pomylił tekst w One Vision i łamie mu sie głos przy Somebody to Love.... Freddie niezastąpiony!

  • Are they just using the cameras mic to pick up the audio? Cause that would explain why you can't hear any of the singers

  • I wouldnt cross the street to see this band play, let alone pay money for it.

  • The second vocalist needed to take his hands out of his pockets..It makes him look bored and its kinda rude..imo.

  • i like the principal guitar

  • the singers sucksss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice les paul tone

  • I like this guy more than Marc Martel. Stop trying to find Freddie. There won't be another Freddie ever :(

  • Good bass player.

  • As a whole, much better than the first group. The second vocalist really needs to bump it up quite a bit though if he's going to make it.

  • i like the Drummer

  • The best !

  • Yeap...Roger best thing in this video....the others sucks :(

I want to see that Martel :) he was good.

  • I FIND IT GOOD THAT HE DOES NOT TRY TO BE/SOUND like FREDDIE MERCURY! Marc Martel is to me the most uninteresting candidate, honestly. Why looking only on the fact if one sounds like Freddie or not? One should develop an own stage/ music personality.

  • fuck sake.. roll on marc martel lol

  • Either Ty was truly like a deer stuck in the headlights due to the shock of singing in front of someone he completely idolizes, and froze up...or they will save his real talent to shock viewers with later...I don't know...but I do know that as his ex wife I do not like this man...but that is irrelevant to the amazing performances I have witnessed in the past...and I hope this wasn't a case of nerves for his sake...as I know what he is really capable of as a singer & performer

  • @Mellybear73 Heh, setting up the grounds for a future reconciliation for when he has more money? LOL.

  • This looks like Bob jovi and he's trying to look like Freddie mercury

  • I would love to see a band do a Queen song in a different style to what the original is. There are some artiste's who put their stamp so much on their songs that they cannot be replicated by another. The only person and I know this may cause a backlash is George Michael singing (Somebody to Love) that man nailed it. Think outside of the box lad's and give it your soul.

  • Nice kids, but who's gonna sing the killer harmonies Queen is known for? If I wasn't an old fat dude, I'd have sent in an audition and I'd be there... Where were these opportunities when I was young? Oh yea, that's right... We had Star Search... (Puking sound)

  • It's finish or not ?

  • Jon Stewart calls. Good night folks. Nice chatting with you. Here's hoping there's a rad video to watch at breakfast tomorrow.

  • @rakitoon Hey, even pros can blow an audition. That's what makes this whole thing so exciting and nerve-wracking to watch. ;-)

  • @AdamMethos You could be right.

Nah, I`m just being nice - I`m right. Heh. Really, this guy`s not going to blow anything. I`m a bit concerned the stills show him with a guitar strapped on. Could be a dickish move. Or not.

  • @rakitoon He's stupid like a fox. In reality, he's an experience guitar player. He actually CAN play that song on guitar just like he can play STL on piano. In fact, he played the guitar on CLTCL but you can't hear it because of the track. Playing the guitar only showed his versatility. Piano, guitar, vocals.... dudes the real deal Holyfield.

  • @NellaTorre I didn't say it was stupid. I said it might be dickish. I do get that he shows them versatility doing this - not being stupid either, btw :-). On the other hand, he's potentially stepping on the toes of the guys whose turn it is to have the guitar-player spotlight. Remember that one of the stated objectives off the top was to demonstrate bandmate skills. So there's that risk associated with it.

  • @NelleTorre By high-pressure I meant that I don't think before now Marc has had this many eyes watching him, and so many hopes and expectations placed on him, not to mention the knowledge that there's a whole contingent out of haters out there who want to see him crash and burn!

  • @AdamMethos Completely agree. Especially the one guy whose music he admires and with people he's never played with in his life. But he has BoRhap, STL and CLTCL under his belt. Hammer to Fall was pretty much made for his voice. Speaking of Hammer to Fall, are they going to sing backup?

  • @AdamMethos There is?!? Losers. The world is full of 'em.

  • In Spike I trust. With Queen and Rolling Stones under his belt, I believe he will make the right decisions.

  • LOVED IT! You all rocked! You all had charisma and looked and sounded like rockstars!

  • Is there anyone else yall wish had made it from 2 now?.. kind of wish we had more options now.

  • Marc M is a fully talented, seasoned pro; he`s not going to blow an audition. Add to that the fact they know that Marc alone will generate megawatts of buzz and sell thousands of tickets at every single venue, the whole tour long. I don`t think you have to worry about Marc Martel making the final cut. But it`s really cute of you all to worry so. Ahhh I once was that young....

  • @NellaTorre Marc's Ellen experience might help him a bit here since that was also performing in high-pressure situation. :-)

  • @AdamMethos Marc is a professional anyways I have seen him in concert he has a very popular christian band

  • @RojanglesGames Please - I`m trying to forget that.

  • @rakitoon Why?

  • @rakitoon U no like Christians

  • Comment removed

  • @AdamMethos I'll take your crazy and raise you some: his 10+ years performing live and 10 studio albums with his band will also help him in a high-pressure situation. LOL. Not to mention that he's used to singing with a co-lead singer. It was as if this competition were meant for him specifically.

  • This is Darwinism boys and girls. Natural selection. Those who cannot adapt will die out and the big boys will take their place at the the top of the food chain. You wanna know who I feel REAL bad for? Marc Martel. The guy has a huge weight on his shoulders and a lot of people counting on him. I'd hate to be him right now.....

  • I hope these compilations aren't the only performance vids we're going to see. Hopefully, they'll post all three songs by each group at some point, as well as the impromptu jam sessions!

  • These guys voice is annoying

  • @sandrativadar It`s 5 words. Make a sentence.

  • Even if Ty didn't have any previous experience, there certainly must have been more than 10 secs to show for it. And why so little of everyone else playing? I dunno, I just figured that I would be able to see a little drums, bass, guitar and both vocals and not just watch another amateur vid. This is Foos studio for Christ's sake! I though Cody was pitchy and sounded like BonJovi not Queen at all. Super disappointed so far...

  • Liked Cody. He's the only vocalist so far who looked natural and at ease performing his song. Did Ty have any performing experience before this? From his auditions, it seemed like he just liked to sing for friends and family. Maybe he just felt totally out of his element around the other musicians who are either pro or working on being pro.

  • @rakitoon I agree but still, why is the coverage so biased? If he sucks then let him suck for as long as everyone else....

  • Speaking of Roy Ziv, I think it might be a bad idea to put him together with Brian Gresh. Both dudes are killer on lead and nobody's really heard them on rhythm. How are they going to work out who plays rhythm and who plays lead? Well, guess we'll find out in the next video....

  • Comment removed

  • @Nella Torre - I was really rooting for TY but I noticed that there has been so little coverage of him you can't tell shit. 10 secs of singing where is voice cracked (which happens) and the rest is all Cody? Are you kidding me? This whole thing is stating to seem biased. How come no interview with any band guys etc... If the next vid is biased towards one then I guess we all know how this is going down....

  • @sk1974ish Well, I'll give you that. But usually you can tell if a person can sing within seconds of them opening their mouth. Ty is a shower singer. He wasn't cut out for this. Didn't you see him just standing there? The rest of it was obviously pretty bad so they cut to the one with energy.

  • @sk1974ish 1+1=we probably saw the best of Ty`s performance. The other guy`s `presence` btw, I find about as enjoyable as a day-long toothache, but he did do better as a vocalist. I`m sure it is all totally biased; it`s biased toward putting together the best band they can. Coming from Ty`s position, just making the auditions is probably an overwhelming thrill.

  • Both singers were like auditioning in AI. Long way to go for both of them. The drummer is awesome though for band B.

  • Nico Savvedra was amazing.

  • I am - of course, like everybody else - excited to see Marc M, but also in his band is the guitarist I loved in the audition phase. Roy Ziv. Guy should get in just for that name - ha ha. Guess the video will be up Tuesday. I see a lot of cameras in the studio....are they broadcasting the final announcement?

  • If marc martel doesn't win i boycott this tour.

  • The band sounded great !!!!

  • *chants* Marc Martel! Marc Martel!

  • This singer is Flat as hell.

  • None of the singers I've seen so far have piqued my interest. The bands are amazing, especially seeing as they've been put together for the day, but is this really the best of the best of America's vocal talent?

  • of the 3 videos so far, this one had the best Drummer I think, but it's so hard to tell w/out seeing ENTIRE SONGS by the various Incarnations of musicians they put together - CODY BOND sounded good but they didn't show Enough of his VOCALS in this clip.

  • I liked Cody from day one. There is something about his energy that I like. Roger was smiling. We are not going to find someone who has a great voice PLUS great presence. That was Freddie who was one in a billion. In QE I believe its going to be one or the other. I like Cody for stage presence. I'm looking forward to his next performance.

  • Ty Martin was disappointing. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets and sucked. Your in front of Roger Effin Taylor dude. Show some respect and play your heart out.

  • @NellaTorre this can probably be explained by the fact this is just a yound Dad who works in a Starbucks. Has never performed in front of anyone but his family, I understand. No band, no performance history at all. Seriously, if I am him right there, I`m lucky if I don`t just pass out.

  • @rakitoon LMAO. True words have never been spoken.

  • The first singer (of this video) has become my favorite... so far

  • I hope they upload Marc's performance soon !!!

  • Marc has so many expectations built up that I fear he cannot meet it. I say this as a HUGE MM fan of the Downhere band. But if any of them can do it, Marc can.

  • @thatisso80s Not so fast my fine feathered friend. I know he'll blow it out ball park, but he's got that pretty chick who can't sing for crap. If she blows it, it'll affect him. Not to mention if the band blows it, it'll also affect him. If they're smart, they'll pull an 80/20 video ration and showcase the stronger vocalist just like they did with this band.

  • @NellaTorre The playing sounds great to me, but the voice is the Reason for the Record. Just having a rock-tenor sing is not the point. I have heard other Freddie tribute singers who are amazing, but did not sound convincing at all times at all volume levels. It's an almost impossible task, but hopefully the right voice will appear. If I weren't such a darned bass I'd give it a try.

  • Hate to troll...but...MARC MARTEL.

  • Wow. Really impressed by Cody Bond. The instruments were spectacular together. They were in synch and the guitarist played off each other wonderfully. Again, not a Queen "voice" but excellent no less. Now Ty Martin.... meh. There's a reason they didn't show the whole thing. I was just blown away by the band. Great collaboration.

  • Gotta love that drummer!!!!

  • DRUMMER HAS BEEN CHOSEN NICO SAAVEDRA!!!!!!!! MONSTER PERFORMANCE

  • These singers are not working. Great singers as such, but they're no Freddies. :(

  • @thatisso80s just wait tell marc martel sings

  • The vocals are better than the last one, though not by much, and the instruments were worse than the last.
