I loved Betty White when she was on the Mary Tyler Moore show as Suellen the cooking show lady...she was a ho in everything but words. All joking aside, she is a great actress and I'm glad that she is still here.

Wow, this part, when they all walk in and Eunice is just so vacant. And then when her and Ellen share a laugh... This is all so touching. This was wonderfully written and brilliantly acted. I'm so glad to be seeing this, I never even knew it existed.

It doesn't seem that it was an insult, really. Mama's family was just representing other characters. It wasn't as tragic and beautiful as the Eunice sketches...but still very memorable.

The "deep freeze" comment was more than just for laughs. Dick Clair, a producer of "Mama's Family" and other sitcoms was a proponent of the practice of cryonics, the idea that a dead body may be frozen in liquid nitrogen and possibly revived one day, and was active in its early days. He died in '88, and is now hanging out in liquid nitrogen waiting until science can bring him back. Royalties from "Mama's Family" support his cryonic suspension, so be sure to watch those late night reruns!

"Mama's Family" was an insult to the whole Eunice series of stories. She should have stayed dead.  Sorry. This was a perfect conclusion for all the characters.
