Ya, Crosby Dives. No, it doesn't belong in the NHL. But when it comes down to it, he's a great player, and when he does something like this, he gets way more hatred then if a lesser known player does. I'm not a pens fan, but I'm sick of everone overreacting. Jeez.

@AwesomeFilms111 Crosby gets extra attention for it because he is the face of the NHL. When non-fans or casual fans look at what should be done in the game, they look to him. He makes diving way more of a focal point than it should be, and he sends across the message that it's ok to do. Because he is the face of the league. His actions reflect on the entire rest of the NHL, and when he dives, he's degrading the sport as a whole. I have an actual REASON for hating on his diving.

@AwesomeFilms111 Yeah he's a great player and he gets more attention for this because he doesn't need to do it. He is already protected by the refs, and yet still dives and whines the most of any player in the NHL. Even NHL players voted him the whiniest player in the league.

It's not going to hurt if somebody on that play unless you're elbowed or speared in the liver... and that's not what happened. He took a dive hoping Lapierre's reputation would give him a penalty. I actually played so don't say people are dumb, I know this was worse than some of Avery's dives, and that's saying something.
