@55jubjub Eh, Halo CE's legendary ending was non-canon. And he single-handedly killed an entire horde of Flood. Read the Halo Graphic Novel. He made the first three kills in the Human-Covenant War. Read the novel "Contact Harvest". He survived Halo Wars, Reach, 1, 2 and 3. His body is immune to the Flood, as opposed to the Chief, who has all his steroids.

Johnson achieved more than the Chief, because of the mere fact that he wasn't amped up like the Chief was. But this debate is fun.

A huge part of why the spartains pulled off everything that they did was because they had been together their whole lives, knew how each other thought, and were enhanced with the best the UNSC had to offer. Which wasnt steroids. It was a bit more complex. Steroids wont let you and your team survive a fall from Orbit.

@KNDReaper Hate to burst your bubble, but I have read the book. And the idea of abducting kids and making them soldiers doesn't sit well with me. I mean, just because they killed so many doesn't justify the fact that you stole them from their families. Their bio-augmentations killed off nearly half of them, and crippled quite a few others. And for a matter of fact, the team didn't survive the fall. Three or five Spartans died - the highest Spartans casualties in a single act ever.

As for the whole Child Soldier thing being bad. Well.. Yea, its morally wrong, sick, and abuse of the UNSC's power, but I still see why they did it, and agree with their choice. In the end, even with out the covenant, it would have still saved lives.

@TANSKBD See, thats not what I got from Glasslands. I saw a few people pushed toward the rebels because of what the UNSC did, but I dont think they are rebelling because of the Spartans. I think its more because they felt abandon by the UNSC when they chose to focus on protecting the inner worlds.

And if I am not mistaken, Halsey asked one of the II's if they blamed her. They told her "We were all destened for something great. You just made sure we were ready." or something to that effect.

@KNDReaper There are probably like what, 3 Outer Colony worlds left? And in case they hadn't noticed, the UNSC's fleet was a mere third or a tenth of what it was at the time of Reach. As a result there were close to zero heavy assault forces available, and the carriers were all indisposed of. And no, the Inner Colonies themselves have begun revolting too.

@Sunnybyoy You've played a Halo game before, right? It wasn't the choice of the children in the Spartan-II program to do this. They were abducted from their homes, replaced with a flash clone that would die quickly so no one looked for them, and then were trained and altered. Most didn't survive the alteration.

And while I love the ODST's, they don't always do the same thing. They send in the Spartans for the jobs that no one else could possibly do.
