  • This game had a very profound ending too! That's quite uncommon for a game. I mean, there are endings that are great but this had a practical message you could actually take with you in life... fantastic song. Great game.

  • The end of this game is actually pretty sad.

  • @unionofonion till you after the credits it becomes a great ending. sure they dont remember what happen or that they were the best of friends, but some of those kids died. so seeing them all together running in the hallways is an amazing way to end this one fantastic under rated game.

  • @Zylo82 So true! Seeing them all together again in the hallway at school brought a tear to my 15 year-old eye....

  • My first rpg ever. Oh Will I miss adventuring with you

  • Hey Supra, do you know a good remix of the final battle theme ? I found one some years ago but I can't find it anymore, so if you have it or knows its title/artist, please tell me :) thanks !

  • This game is called "Illusion of Time" in french...

    How weird !

    But I'm glad I found the OST~

  • @Meishali That's it's name in Europe in general, Illusion of Gaia is the american name.

  • oink oink

  • Damn. I was going to open it to get the handbook but then I realized it's just an image on the screen.

  • Even after all these years later, this song is still amazing and deeply touching in its own right. This song will always get me teary eyed. ;_;

  • I just don't understand this game, the story is a mess. But it's so fun that you forget about it.

  • Well, the guys at Enix didn't like happy endings, at least for the trilogy Soul Blaze/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma.

(Don't remember about Soul Blaze, but IoG and Terranigma had pretty bitter endings - and Terranigma's ending it's just cruel).

  • @darkemg Pretty much yeah

The youthful gamer: We love happy endingss =D

Enix/Quintet: HAH! No good ending for YOU! Feel the bitterness

    The youthful gamer: D=

  • A great track from one the best underrated SNES titles.

  • Hamlet!!!

  • I have beaten this game. One of the best I have played.

  • The best song in the game was the one from the Sky Garden though

  • Couldn't agree more. That tune is awesome!

  • finally!

    Thank you so much

  • Man this song brings about how bittersweet the ending too Illusion of Gaia. It tries to be happy but in the end...

    *wipes away tear*

    Damn dust in my eye.

  • Fun game and nice music. :)

  • I wonder why this game never really got big?

  • This sort of reminds me of Golden Sun, but... dare I say it?? Better!?

I know this is way earlier in terms of release than Golden Sun, but I was just a little too late to get into Super Nintendo... I missed out on some of the best!

The games they make now just do not compare :(

But yeah, definately has that nostalgic/sad Golden Sun feel to it.

    Really like it.

  • I don't hear the Golden Sun in there, but i agree it's an excellent piece of music.

  • I don't usually get emotional about the stories in video games, but this game was different...nearly made me cry more than once. I can remember the first time I heard this song I just wanted to keep letting it play.

  • This is pretty illin'. Good choice, Supra. Never got around to this back then; the rental store didn't have great selection.

  • Nice!!

  • Epic song, this was what a closing scene should be like.

  • Ahhh I loved Illusion of Gaia, brings me way back. Terranigma was also amazing...

  • oh great unliving baals tail O.o

I used to listen to this song so much on my SNES such a long time ago. it's splenderifisome.

  • now that you've brought a tear to my eye with this song, I'm gonna go do something manly

  • Also I'm noticing some new video options, cool.

  • I love this track! I used to just let the game sit and let this play when it came on. Think I slept to it once with the system on all night.

One of my all time faves. Good choice! ^_^

  • @WillSerenity I used to do the same..... How I miss those times....

  • I wonder why they chose that font for the title. Did Square want people to confuse it with Zelda?

  • Love this game. Definitely a top 10 soundtrack on the SNES.

  • I always found it strange that Kawasaki composed for this game then basically disappeared. It's too bad!

  • Perhaps his existence...was an illusion?

  • Or maybe somebody over at Enix realized that boats aren't capable of composing music :P.

  • ohohohoho *knee slap*

  • @SupraDarky agreed mate
