I substatute all that butter w/ 1 c. of fat free sour cream---its the best!! also all that salt isnt nesassary but I of course add a little 1/4 c. sugar

IMHO, 1 teaspoon of salt is too much salt, and 450 degrees seems like it is too high. I usually bake my cornbread at 400.

skip the butter, use extra virgin olive oil, much more healthy.
