If you have someone else's Friend Code, and they have yours, you can play each other online. The game won't tell you if you're both online at the same time unless you look for them yourself, however.
I was surprised that you didn't charge up a PK Flash when Samus was spamming the fan.
Also, I'm great with Wario. I use his down aerial to rack up damage, then I send them upward and juggle them with his up aerial. His bike is great for both recovery and for negating almost every attack that is thrown at him head-on.
I forgot about PK Flash, actually. I tend not to sue it even when I'm thinking of it because that sound seems to always get everybody to dash-attack me. And I'm very often thrown right off the Wario Bike due to them aerial attacking me.
Maybe I'm just always matched up against people who expect everything and know how to respond to them.
As for not using aerials, I have very bad aim in the air, that's why.
I played in the air a lot in Melee (even with guys like Ganondorf and Roy), so much so that I considered myself an aerial specialist and thought the new physics as to my advantage.
The online lag practically killed my air game, and I miss with most of my attacks, ground or air. I have slightly better accuracy on the ground, so that's where I stay.
If someone you're playing against has a laggy connection, then the whole match will be laggy. I had one at Green Hill Zone a couple of weeks back with a comparison to the lag-free Replay.
Hey Overhazard, you know what's funny? Earlier today, while I was checking who uploaded videos recently, I wished you would upload some brawl videos sometime soon. Now, I see you uploaded two videos of Brawl!
I don't know much bout the climbers, but you did well from what I saw, good job.
Pretty good match overall this time, you were Rockin' there with Ness, and I love the fact that you got 2 KO's off his back throw, great job.
I wanted to see Wario-man, but besides that, pretty good fight. You knew to destroy/eat the bike as well, nice.
Luigi's Mansion has very large KO boundaries, so it takes a LOT more to kill the lightweights (Peach loves that stage too). Great showing with Jiggs though.
Yeah, I kept that video because I knew about him having very strong throws (I never threw much as Ness in Melee because all throws seemed to be very weak), and they were the only KOs I had. Ness's grab range seems to be tiny, but he reaches out fast.
As for the Wario Bike, I saw in an earlier match on Mushroomy Kingdom that the bike can continue to "bounce" on top of someone and keep doing damage in that way. A Ness player went from 24% to 94% in that way.
Haha, yeah, if you get into a position in which to edge guard, the bike makes a wonderful projectile. Gotta be careful though, as Wario has awful recovery if he doesn't have his bike handy (unless you want to waste a fart). So unless I'm feeling particularly brave, I eat the bike ASAP.
Oh yeah, horizontal recovery. I never thought of that. I usually leave the bike out because I like to use it to toss it at people. Wario has no projectiles otherwise.
It launches him upwards too, which is what he really needs. He is so mobile side to side (in the air) that he doesn't need much help there, and is one of his biggest strengths
It does? I know he stays still in the air for a while, which is why I sometimes use it in midair to throw people off, then get off the bike in midair as a makeshift projectile. But it brings him upwards too?
Yeah, about 1-2 character lengths high. Add that in with his ability to jump off the bike, and it adds a lot to how high Wario can go vertically. Important for saving him should you get down low as without that bike, Wario can't get very high
with ic use ur side-b more often. it keeps them together and if u tap it u float. ness i really cant say much cause i suck with him lol. with wario use ur d-air more often cause its really strong. an
Of course, it doesn't do much good when you're already falling. I played with the Ice Climbers a lot in Melee, so I know that it's used mainly for horizontal recovery and that it was preserved for Brawl.
As for Wario, you can see I did fine with what I got.
dude if u want to find out how to get all the characters and stages just google super smash bros brawl and go to their official website. easiest thing to do
Hmm... Why is my name in the description? I wonder how you got that mixed in there...

You mean that was someone else...?

Lol, Ophie, I've never played a game with you besides Mario Kart xD

So it seems I guessed wrong. Sometimes, random people show up on my roster. It's weird.

Here's a good stratagy for Ness. Use PK Fire on the enemy, then quickly use his side A attack.
Kyogre70 3 years ago
That won't always work. Unless you've got your opponent right in the middle of the fire pillar, anyone can escape it before getting hit.

How do you register people as friends in this game?

I usually don't use it either, unless I'm almost guaranteed to connect with it without being attacked.
Well, if someone was trying to run me over with a motorcycle, I'd dodge and kick them in the face, too. ...Well, not really. But you get the idea.
I seem to have great accuracy in midair. I guess I'm just a natural-born aerialist. Although it helps that Wario can easily move around in the air.

Heh. So did I. I like Ganondorf's down aerial, since it's easy to connect with and it can KO an opponent even when they're at 0%.
I've only played a few online matches, and I can attest to how awful the lag is. I try to stick to Friend matches as often as possible.
TehFoamy 3 years ago
But those can be really laggy too. I get the same lag in Friend Matches as I get in online matches, often worse.
Overhazard 3 years ago
Really? I've never experienced any kind of lag in Friend Matches.
TehFoamy 3 years ago

Ah, yes. I saw that match.
I guess none of my friends have laggy connections. The only time I ever experienced lag was in a match against a stranger.
TehFoamy 3 years ago
Heh, it's awesome what you chose as the still for this vid. What timing.
And man, I wanna play 75m so badly. Fear the trampoline of doom!
CDub7888 3 years ago
There are only three frames I could possibly choose from anyway.
75m is a pretty rare sight online. I wish it showed up more often, as I like this place. It's got a nice "future retro" feel to it.
