I'm American and I know that the MLS sucks compared to the other leagues in the world, but if it was as bad as people make it out to be then Chelsea wouldn't be beating the Galaxy 1-0. People act like every Premier League team would kill MLS teams 20-0, and that just doesn't happen. We haven't gotten soccer down yet, but we're lightyears ahead of where we used to be. It's like some people have nothing better to do than hate American soccer.

Chelsea earned a win, but they DID NOT outclass Galaxy. Cech saved their butts on a couple of occasions. All the comments about MLS teams being no better than conference slobs in England is total bull. Mourihno was on the sidelines dreading a tie or loss to an MLS squad. To be honest that match wasn't that great. The Galaxy at this time was really a horrible team. Chelsea wasn't playing on full-gear yet you can still clearly see they're a much much better team than the Galaxy. After a few weeks Galaxy has improved though more control on the midfield, largely due to Beckham, Cobi Jones should help also when he's back from injury.
