I have the Hasbro version. Bloody NICE! Its curvature makes it a bit difficult to wield it.

Great job, I loved your review nice to hear a fellow Australian jedi :-) I just got the new hasbro saber with the hidden mini saber in the hilt that can also screw onto the end.

I find it sounds louder because when the mini saber is out of the hilt, the void in the handle acts as a sound chamber :-)

Because of the shape I don't think they can make it spring activated but the Dooku saber makes up for it by actually being repairable, if you own two they last longer than the spring loaded sabers which if one of the cones is damaged you are done, Dooku can come apart and have cones replaced.

Its actually a Hasbro Force FX but they're factory made by the same company as the Master Replicas (Called Pacific Industries) so yeah you're half right. There's a Ventress coming out in December as well.

I had one of these and is the most lifelike hold and thickness compared to the other ones which tend to be a bit too chunky

NIce review. That Anakin lightsaber is my favorite as well, no motion activated sounds sadly. As you said, if the FX ones weren't so expensive and were more durable, I would buy one.

i got my vader fx saber for £40 new . all metal hilt with a few sounds and a great motion sensor .. i scared the shit out of my girlfriend with it one night as she came home , she ran away screaming hahahahaha .. priceless

I got my Vader one in that package, but it also came with a dvd with some of the 2D clone wars cartoons on it. Good thing, I unfortunately didn't get Vol 2 of that & the cartoons are from that. Bad thing, I've misplaced it. x) Anyways, good review. Geekdom Rulez!

I've been keeping my eye on these at Walmart to see if they will go on sale. I agree about the FX lightsabers. The FX sabers are really cool and I have one, but these are good for hard dueling. I don't have to worry if I break them since they are relatively inexpensive. LOL! After your review I may just pick it up at regular price anyway. :)

Good review. I have yet to own Count Dooku's lightsaber. I've always liked the interesting design and I'm also proud to say a fellow Filipino brother designed that hilt which "Uncle George" chose while going thru some concept art which we now know as Dooku's saber.
