  • One can also use hall effect sensors (measures magnetic fields) and some neodyne magnets. Will cost you about 6 pound per sensor and not a whole lot for magnets. its essentially gear free and easy to set up. Shock absorber looks to be a pocket bike damper, about 20$ each

  • Where did you get that shock absorber? Looks fantastic.

  • Can you please post the url of the site where you found the hall effect sensor?

    Part No 182865

  • Holy cow! It costs 45.80... Euros! I think I might have to stick with my standard potentiometers for now.

Thanks for the information though! Your build is fantastic too, by the way.

  • Yep, but they are sturdy as h**l and will work for a long time I think + they are 90 degrees as opposed to a 70-280 degree pot => better resolution.

I did buy some other hall sensors from cubpilot (google for cubpilot and you'll find it) for my joystick build. I think they were about 50 USD each.

  • my respect for all your parts of the cockpit, it looks really profecional!

  • Great work. Looks really well built.

  • Beautiful work...just beautiful.
