Hey, Scotishrod1 - you say I have to compare apples to apples. That's exactly what I'm doing. Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand are GREAT singers - apples. So even you admit Andrea Ross is not one of the apples. She is ok at best. There are records of Judy Garland from when she was 15 - she was great even then with a fully developed technique. As she matured she got even greater. Andrea Ross is not good enough to shine Judy's or Barbra's shoes and never will be.

I wasn't comparing Barbra Streisand to Judy Garland or vice versa. I was comparing Andrea Ross to Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland as examples independently (and a few others I could name) and commenting that she falls way short of both. But I'm curious as to which you like better, Barbra or Judy, since it's not quite clear when you commented that you don't believe there is any comparison between the two. Personally I believe they are equally great in different ways.
