The character of james bond always changes, and each actor suites the particular character of Bond they play. Sean Connery or Rodger Moore simply would not be able to play the current james bond character like daniel craig can. The current bond is more on gut instinct and muscle rather than using his brain, in the new films, we see a very young bond
