Here's my interpretation of both parts:

The violence gods are really two archdukes of Hell and the things attacking the main characters are the demons following the archduke who plan to literally make earth into the second Hell. Then the girl who revives them is actually Satan in disguise who have a "better" plan for them. Hence sending the archdukes back to Hell (which releases the spirits of the two innocent little boys into Heaven), little girl Satan sends the main characters into a portal
