  • Ребята, а где продолжение то?..(

  • With that hammer on I just can't get the notes to sound clear with the 5th fret on the E string so I play it open A. Maybe when I am a better player I'll retry it

  • Thanks for the great lesson and turning me on to dominic miller

  • I must say it one more time:

Justin, you're one of the best YT teachers

  • Super

  • for the second version, you should just barre the fourth and slide your pinky :D

  • its will be easier when you Justin Show your right hand.

  • Insanely good tutorial, but can you please tell me your secret to your large range (handwise)??! Whenever I get to the bar chord & hammer my hand cramps up because I can't reach it without having serious hand pains. Is there any way around it, or some way to make it easier (because I feel like I'm pulling ligaments in my hand)

  • tthe original is much siple sarch on guitar tab

  • thanks much Justin - you're a great teacher!

  • you a mob ?

  • his face @ 0:27 isl like "yeah, guys this one's really hard" xD

  • I have a completly different fingering to this but use the same notes on strings 1,2 and 3 but i like some of the voicings you use on this lesson and so will have a hybrid version of both yours and mine. First class lesson Justin as usual, really enjoy your stuff. I've learned a great deal from your vids.

  • its very hard u.u

  • excellent

  • Playing this at two in the morning has its charm. Such a mutateable progression too :) Love the double stop on the 'live' version

  • Loving the way you used your jester for this song...

  • This is such an awseome lesson, best I have found. Thank you, thank you!

  • at 7:43 - that top A Dominic plays. I've watched the video with him playing on a comfy sofa and at 0:13 he plays it - I'm not sure how but it's definitely there. It looks like he's hitting a harmonic but I can't figure out how. Seems like it should come from the 7th fret on the D string but I don't know. Anyone?

  • dominic miller is the composer of the song. i watched his interview in a bulgarian tv show and the show man is the bass player of a great bulgarian hard rock band ahat. and ahat's most famous song is in english "black sheep"

  • Your so freaking cool! Thx man :D

  • awsome !!!!!

  • The bridge is the same pattern but instead of starting on F#, you start on C#. Great song - but very hard to sing with!

  • You're awesome :D

  • just a tip for you guys for you struggling with the stretches just capo the 2nd fret

  • Justin... that was STEAK SAUCE!!!!! :D

  • Please do classical gas!

  • God bless you justin

  • Great lesson!

Small comment though, when you go up from the C7 sharp to the D, you play D7 and I think it should be Dmaj7.

Thanks for the lesson, now I can show off at the beach! :)

  • I know you get this a lot, but you are the best!!!

  • Have you ever let youtube make an audiotranscript of these videos? It is hilarious!

  • How long U play on guitar???

  • Thanks a lot for these lessons :)

  • Wow an 808 if I'm not mistaken... what a beautiful sounding guitar...thanks Justin, you rock!!

  • okay what do u pick or plug when you jumb to the second strad????

  • Those aren't quite as finger-twisty as I expected... Nice video J.

  • Thanks! I will to learn this!

  • At 4:30, why do you play the fifth fret on the E string, instead of just playing open A string?

  • @paev10 That's what I'm saying. I cant stretch that anyway

  • @paev10 Maybe tone, feel, vibrato, easier muting?

  • You are the best. You give and don't whait anything in return...gooood philosophy. Congratulations. Daniel from France.

  • more acoustic fingerstyle lessons!

  • Thanks for this, it would be easier to follow where to put your fingers though if you just said string a, d, etc rather than identifying the strings by their thickness and numbering them.

  • so where i can get the tabs . but of this kind form to play

    someone can help me

  • do sm metal hehe like slipknot or dragonforce or megadeth or dethklok

  • could you please do fields of gold by sting, dominic miller also plays with sting on this song,

  • plz do anything by joe satriani pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • beau beau beautiful

  • My deepest thanks to you, once again, Justin...

You are unarguably the best guitar teacher on the face of this planet.

  • Comment removed

  • why dont you play that part at 0:19 with the open A string instead of 5th fret on the low E ?

  • @livinlife245 thats exactly what i was thinking, much easier for me too :)

  • wow justin has got a new guitar i think he needs to do an update about my guitars set of videos

  • @SubtitleDave yes, but then you won't be a beginner anymore :)

  • thank you so much for providing this tutorial. you are the best! cheers fella!

  • oh no... your 14th fret is my 12th, no no no : /

playing in my 14th fret is soooo impossible...

  • @Ninnynha Same here. :( Need a different guitar....

  • @SubtitleDave yes. . . although with perseverence you can do it

  • Wow one of justin's less detailed vidz by far. He never days what strings he's playing or w/e at the end. I'm totally confused

  • @JeffandKmusic

So what would the tab look like?

  • why not just hit an open A, rather than playing it with the third finger?

  • @schitt123 I assume you're talking about the part at 4:00

Yeah, that's what I finally settled on.

  • Another excellent instruction and another facet/style revealed by a kind, generous teacher - THANKS JUSTIN!!!

  • Always love finding cool new riff/song diddies i've never seen b4. Great lesson that didnt laboriously go over minor trivial details most people capable of playing this song know. Not talking about theory though, I like your analysis of chords and all that jazz. Best Teacher on youtube for technique and song imo. Justin transcribes from the record then searches for videos of the artist playing it live unlike most teachers who are often careless and lacking the intricate details.

  • DOES THE TONE VARY IN EVERY GUITAR????

  • @mikessbj And in every guitarist!

  • Please do the rest of the song!

  • @poffner seconded! you cant leave us with just that lol

  • You never explained what strings you play & what your index is covering at 4"35!!!

  • @ickayR

ring finger 5th fret Low E, pinky finger 5th fret D string, index finger barres g and b at 2nd fret, and middle finger hammers onto 4rd fret on the G string. [ 5x522(2) ]. If you have trouble with the ring finger on the low E string you can just replace that with The open A string instead.

  • Is that a bar at 4:35 w/ your index?

I'm confused, what strings are you playing?

  • Justin you're such a good teacher. You always know what songs I want to learn, even though I never heard of them before. I love this song now.

I also like the fact that you are focussing on cool riffs now.

You and Marty Swartz are my fav teachers.....

  • Love these riff videos man!!!

  • Why don't you just bar your first finger on the C#sus chord?

  • @mattphelanguitar

for the 9th fret C#7sus4 1:57 into the video he explains it. For the "live" version though a barre would solve his problem and having one finger per string down on the neck is not as big a deal as the stuff up past the 7th fret or so.

  • why hasen't it dawned to me sooner to learn this song? good thing you put this lesson up, it'll save me quite the hassle

  • hey man thank's for the lesson! you should play mouthful of cavities by blind melon, that's an awesome riff too

  • Thank you for this ! PLEASE....the Full song, if you you could.

  • I don't even have my guitar here right now, I'm just listening this while I read other things, it's nice.

  • that d6 chord is a killer

  • Whoever wrote that is a genious

  • hey justin, y don't u make a video 4 "more than words" by Extreme?? please, i need it

    xD

  • @kosacco92 check marty schwartz - more than words, he does a good tutorial of it, its really an easy song.

  • @komani86 ok, i'll do it! thx a lot

  • hey man, a question: can you play a song of the "guns and roses" : "paradise city" that would be awesome. sorry if my english is bad.

  • youre the master

  • cool man

  • So when you do the switch at 3;02,what strings are you playing?

  • Great lesson, thanks a lot.

And BTW, I find the fingering in the very beginning (1st finger 11th fret, 3rd and 4th at 14th) much harder than the little finger stretching in Dominic's way of playing.

  • Please do classical gas

  • @telus82 ^^ full song!!

  • Thank you so much for this, Justin! I first heard the song at the end of 'Leon' and I've loved it ever since. I've wanted to be able to play it well for such a long time, but my fingers just don't seem to be long enough to play it the 'Dominic Miller way'. So this is going to help me out a lot.

    Thanks again!

  • That helped alot! I was learning it the "Dominic" way from watchin videos of him playin it but this is much easier.thanks once again dude

  • Cool lesson, beautiful song. Thanks!!!!

  • i cant play these things yet :(

  • for classic guitar what fret can i begin

  • @MrPapas1991 for the intro bit look at 7:00

  • Justin Sandercoe, could you possibly teach us how to play Heartbeats - the Jose Gonzalez rendition?

there's nowhere on Youtube which really teaches it. at least not with the same patience and understanding as you teach songs. it would be much appreciated if you could reply letting me know.

thanks for all the great guitar lessons man, they're absolutely fantastic.

  • led zeppelin lesson...eddie vedder lesson...... led zeppelin: tangerine, that's the way, going to california, gallows pole. eddie vedder: society, guaranteed, just breathe, hard sun, tuolumne. tank you....

  • @rosita1495 Seconded

  • hey Justin, first of all great lesson! Could u do a lesson on Bring it on Home by Led Zeppelin i really love the riff and i thought it would be great for your riff lessons?

  • i love you

  • Thanks man! Ur great!

  • Amazing as always, thanks man!

  • You forgot "My" in the title, just being pedantic ;)

Nice lesson as always, learned a few details i was missing in this song

  • Sorry for my English, I didn't understand last words about a "tune" variation, where is the lesson for it ? Thank you for this wonderful lesson, you'r The Guy !!

  • cant wait for the summer so i can get a job and buy a new guitar and START PLAYING AGAIN WOO!

  • Thank you _SOOO_ much for this. I just recently tried to learn this one because it sounds so incredibly nice, but wasn't quite able to nail it down. Once again, you're my hero.

  • hey what have happened to your Jester (or was it Jessie?) Why we haven't seen him/her recently?

  • I love you.
