I usually crack a smile around 1:00. I was never struck by how all other RPG's favor such boring filler music for battle themes until I started playing SMT spinoffs.

I won't go as far as calling shoji meguro "... well known for giving the SMT games a distinctive rock sound..."

As this has been established with the first 2 SMT games, and the remaining megaten off-shoots.

If anyone should take the credit for setting the SMT games with the rock and modern genres.... it's Tsukasa Masuko, the guy who composed SMT 1 & 2 , plus other early games, (including DS1,DS:SH and P1)

I often imagine what a remake of SMT I and II would be like in terms of how the music would be. Either way, it's fun comparing the tunes from waaaaay back then to now. It's all just so bad*ss.

Ill amdit that i wasnt very interested in music of games untill I heard some SMT works. The one that really stand out for me is Battle for Everyone's Souls. But all his work is awesome.
