  • I want one

  • wow cant believe this is the first time ive heard of Mudskippers ....

  • how much are they

  • Admirable care taken of your mudskipper(s)--you've given them a FINE home! Beautiful video.

  • what is the filter setup??

  • @MrSalolevy

Nothing fancy: 1 Eheim canister and a pump with prefilter for the circulation up to the pools.

  • beautiful exhibit, cool mudskippers. I wish i had the time and the resources to do this(and the talent).

  • what are you feeding them?

  • @1mm0rtaldreads They eat mainly aquarium fish pellets. Good eaters, they don't refuse of anything. I also make and freeze a shrimp-mix that they love. Bloodworms they love, and an occasional mealworm from a culture I keep for my lizards.

  • What's the salinity in there? And if it's brackish, what plants are you using?

  • @atomfullerene It is brackish. I don't know of a species of mudskippers that doesn't need brackish. Periophthalmodon septemradiatus is one of the lowest end brackish species. I keep the water at 1.003 SG, with a little fluctuation. Plants that seem to do ell at the moment are Samolus valerandi (emersed only), Nympheae lotus, Vallisneria spiralis, java fern and java moss.

  • They show up at wholesale lists frequently. Just ask your LFS or check out online.

  • awesome tank setup! Ive been looking everywhere for a mudskipper! Can you tell me where you got your mudskipper? Thanks!
