I cant reset my zen the lil reset hole wont reset it :o how else can i reset it & i want to sell it but im wondering whats a good price to sell it for :o

i've had my creative zen 16GB for a couple of years now. now i hav a problem.

the brightness of the screen seems to be permanantly on 10%. if i go into settings and change it to 100% it displays that it is 100% but is still as bright/dark as 10%. this is really getting on my tits now that im trying to watch films in darkness and i like the 100% brightness as it gives it a vivid display.

any feedback or help is very much appreciated.

I have had this mp3 player for about a year and its worked perfectly well! it froze up once but apart from that its been fine, its always terrible when someone has a bad customer experience with a product but if you look hard enough you'll find horror stories for pretty much every product! I use mine mainly for podcasts so only having 4GB isn't really a problem, the controls are really intuitive its really easy to use!

Rip off. I bought this player and it has soo many flaws. It locks by it self. When I updated the firmware it wouldn't turn on and. The LCD screen is soo Cheap it broke while it was charging in my computer. Creative Customer Support Sucks they don't even have a telephone number to call and tell them off. I'm supper pissed, You are better off going and buying Apple even though I hate itunes. >( fail Creative Major FAIL

i mean with the path interprete>album>song?

i would prefer this because in this way i dont have to remember if the song i'm searching for is on the player or on the card.

Yes if you connect it when Windows Media Player is open, it will automatically detect and synchronize your ZEN. You can also synchronize your ZEN manually with Windows Media Player.

it sometimes crashes but it works most of the time. I got this player in april (now its august) and when ever it freezes i just reset it and it works again. hope that helps.

I think the ZEN can play AVI...

Do i have to use the memory card to reach the zen or i just can transport the music into the music folder?

you can use a usb cable to connect to the players internal memory........and yes it can play AVI files.

i bought mine in feburary 2008, up until this month is was running fine, it would occasionaly crash but then you can reset it using a button

yes you can put songs and pictures onto SD card and it will read it, however it reads it separately to the ZEN'S INTERNAL memory

ALL THE DATA ON THE SD CARD will be separate from the data on the ZEN itself. so you cant access all the data in one place.

Yes you can watch, lisn and browse your photo from the sd

One of that problems is that you cant save the time onto a movie when you last time watch, what is making sucks watch Full leght movies from it. and another problem is cant make a playlist on it ;/

iv had mine for about a month and i charged it this morning and when i tried to listen to it it froze???? it is in black screen right now and i cant seem to turn it off or do anything with it! can any1 tell me how to fix it? should i w8 till it dies??? some1 plz reply

get a twist tie and strip off some of the paper or plastic a smal pin or somethhing small enough like a thin wire your gonna need it to get to the reset button located on the side nearest the usb cable plugin there should be a small hole with the word reset next to it. stick the pin or thin wire in the hole and use it to depress the reset button hold it down for a few seconds then remove it. it should reboot and say its rebuilding the tracklist or something. its happened to me before too.

the nice thing about the zen is if your media player is dead and you dont want to wait to put songs on the sd card you can take it out and put it in an sd card slot on your computer or anyones computer with an sd card slot and you can charge it with anything that has a usb port even a motorola dvr which i have done a few times. so even if your on the go you can still charge up as long as you can find a usb port somewhere

well, what do you want to hear? xD

they are stiff and sturdy and dont feel loose.

you may be annoyed by the clear "click"-sound they make when you push them, though.

personally, i dont mind the sound.

the album-art? yes you can see the album-art if you have set it to the corresponding tag.

yes, when you are in a playlist (like the "all songs"-list), you can push the context-button and go to "find keyword". you'll get a virtual keyboard and you can enter a word to search for it in the list.

the creative software made my cpu freeze! the zen battery blew out after 2 months of moderate use! maybe they have worked out the bugs...im more interested in the cowon q5...as it is disgusting..a nd i see that its predecessor is also in this video.. i like going big.

the creative zen 16gb looks like a toy. i mean it looks like a piece of plastic. For the price of a 16gb you can also get a creative vision M 30 gb. it is bulkier but has the same features and you can hook it up to your tv. so i am not really conviced this is the best player out there

new mp3- i dont want to jump on the ipod bangwagen, and sony although reliable does not provide enough memory. so i was looking at creative and saw this in 16gb, although not ideal memory (zen vision m too bulky)has a SD card slot. . . to get to the point i was wondering if this is worth the £139.99 amazon are asking for? or should i compromise memory for reliability in the sony 8gb, or sandisk sanso 8/16gb? comments from those who have owned either of the three would be much appreciated :D
