I fly first class Brasil - Las Vegas 3 times a year with American Airlines and I must say, I never ever missed a shower on board. I take a shower before I fly and another one, when I arrive in Vegas. On board I prefer to sleep as long as possible. When do they put a gym in the planes?

But as time passed they shattered just like Pam Am and it's useless to bring out the past to compare to presence. Look at today American typical carriers, a plate of peanuts are charged with ridiculous price, awful luggage policy, hidden charges and unfriendly cabin staff. These services are completely behind of other famous airlines for 40 years.

We took a trip from LHR to SYD last year in first class Emirates. It is THE only way to fly if you can afford it. It was a special treat and worked really hard for it. Hubbie had a shower, you book a time slot and there are dedicated crew who clean it for you just like a 5* hotel.

Showering while flying is a silly novelty. It would be nice if they cut out all this unnecessary crap, and simply made things a little nicer for the coach passengers. Some people would Love a little extra foot space, let alone a shower... A five minute shower is a tease anyway.
