Thanks for posting this rare piece. I've only heard it played on the organ! I've always loved the passage starting at 03.36 to 04.36. Do you know how much of the keyboard part was written by Mozart and what was completed by Stadler?
Yes- only the exposition was completed by Mozart (so up to 2:58 in this recording). The fragmentary violin part by Mozart begins toward the end of the exposition at about 2:31. I think Stadler did a pretty good completion of the score. You almost can't tell that most of it was completed by someone other than Mozart.

It's hard to imagine the piece with a violin part added to it. I've read that it was perhaps intended as the first movement of a sonata, but I'm not sure that's true. Thanks again.
