What the hell, here I am watching this clip and am so happy that I found it the first time and I read racists comments? why can't people just enjoy the show and not bring up any thing rude. First of all I was taken back by the racial remarks on this page. I think our country has declined due to poor public education - stupidity knows no racial, sexual or ethnic bounds. YouTube should not be a forum of hate and racism!
That said, I'm here at Cocoa Beach, Florida waiting for the final launch of Shuttle Endeavor. Its been scrubbed twice before, so maybe the third time is a charm. I've seen launches from Vandenberg and Kwajaline Atoll, but never Florida.

Cocoa Beach, Florida and the surrounding areas are in a severe decline and I hope the come up with something to keep this place alive.

@NiklasEC I realised I should add that these examples are only the 'west' affecting things but those are just the couple that came to mind immediately. NO society has formed in complete isolation for the last few hundred thousand years at the very least. Even the few cultures as yet uncontacted in modern times (such as some andamanese islanders and various groups in new guinea and the amazon) have clear similarities in cultures and customs with other known groups.

As previously mentioned, creator/producer Sidney Sheldon WANTED to film the series in color from the beginning, but a certain Screen Gems executive told him (even after Sheldon offered to pay the extra $400 an episode- out of his own pocket- required for color filming), "Sidney, don't throw your money away". He later believed neither they or NBC thought the show would last.

Ethnic diversity doesn't HAVE to create a low-trust society - if EVERYBODY - that means white Christians, too - werer ASSERTIVE but not AGGRESSIVE. Further, many many social studies have shown that a homogenous group tends to think of itself as somehow "better" than other groups. ("We Nazarenes are going to heaven, but everybody else is going to hell.")

Go read the material, think about the implications, then see how you feel. The facts about social trust and distrust are what they are.
