Fun on the Amalfi Drive in Italy

The trick to driving in Italy is to have a scarier piece of crap car than the other guy!!! When we lived there in the late 70's we had a tired 67 Alfa Super Giulia that had faded paint, and just enough rust visible to let it be know swapping paint was an option if you didn't give way! The stock 1.3 had been replaced with a Alfetta 2.0 liter so she ran too! After a few months of getting used to Neapolitan driving, the Alfa gave our family unbeatable swagger wherever we went!

went there in 1989 - was nerve wracking even then on the local bus to Positano from Sorrento - bus hung over the side, even I was bad!

I've just got back from doing the Amalfi drive on a tourist tour. Amazing. Most incredible views I've ever seen. Positano - Wow. Psycho Italians overtaking in front of the coach with inches to spare.

u ever been there who know ho drive in napoli or this zone can drive everywhere sometimes the street is more little than this!!!!! and must pass to car in two didderent way!!!!!!!. is not america with huge highway
