Can't blame Roger one bit. they cut their teeth playing to rooms of 100 people sitting on the floor silently listening. "The Machine" got them to play to stadiums seating and standing 80-100,000. I detest to this day that spectators feel they have to be a part of it by shouting their fool heads off when a song is played that they know. Roger's idea to play behind a wall begins here. And the Stuka that crashes into it symbolizes the bombing of the audience, which was in his original plans.

I wanna punch people in the face when they shout, scream, and whistle throughout an entire song. It's ok to whistle when that fucking amazing song starts, but quiet down so everyone can enjoy it! Then when its over, offer feedback with your shouts and screams until the next song.

I hate going to concerts now days and not being able to hear the singer singing over top of the crowd singing! Personally, I came to hear Them, not Us! And it's rude. I don't mind it when the band asks you to sing, or starts people clapping, but it's ridiculous anymore. This is classic Roger, and he still speaks his mind, rightfully!

I read a book "pink floyd: faq" and i read how roger was often disappointed about fans. I think he expected everyone to be as quiet as possible and really soak up the song. but thats impossible. ITs freakin pink floyd

Yes this was in NYC at MSG l remember it like yesterday. l was there and alot of m-80's were going off cause it was in july. it was a huge distraction and scary as shit. amazing to find this on you tube.
