  • Fuck all you with the double standard.

Jeff Gordon does this to Rusty Wallace (didn't even wreck him) and people complain. Dale actually wrecks someone and is a hero.

  • @DrJohnBecker Duh. Gordon was unofficially gay at this point in his career (1994-2005). Now he's uber-hetero and cool as heck.

  • fuck you haters, this is what makes dale earnhardt a great old school driver. the black #3 lives on.

  • Worst driver ever.

  • Exactly why I hated Earnhardt. Watch this video, then watch the video from when Mayfield nudged him at the end of the 2000 Pocono race, only for Earnhardt to cry about it. He could dish it out but couldn't take it.

  • @239Tav I was four too except I was cheering for Ricky Rudd. Glad he at least got 3rd.

  • Dale Earnhardt was a mean sum'bitch. What a legend.

Never forget the black #3. RIP.

  • Dale Earnhardt was a mean sum'bitch. What a legend.

Never forget the black #3. RIP.

  • I'm looking through some of these comments. Do I need to call the WAAAAAHambulance for some of you people?

  • that short track racing

  • Good 'ol days

  • His death was all but guarunteed. his own cheap ass move was going to bite him in the but eventually.

  • My church is right next to the raceway! Anyone ever saw that church next to the racetrack? That's mine ;) I live near Bristol lol I get to help direct the traffic when people are finding parking spots if you've ever been to Bristol B4

  • uh yeah he is and always will be mathenis89

  • if i was terry i woulda walked right over and decked that dirty driving asshole right in his face

  • if you watch the replay terry labonte drove in hard bottomed out sparks flew and earnhardt took the oppertunity to win lead follow or get out of the way!!!

  • Dale Earnhardt is not the best driver in Nascar history.

  • @mathenis89 then who is it, richard petty? i hope you remember that he ammited he got his 200 wins by cheating. plus no one else in the 70s had a car like his, if he was racing now a-days, which everyone's car is the same, then he would be getting his ass kicked

  • Does anyone else miss the old Bristol? Going to variable banking was an absolutely wretched decision. They had one of the greatest tracks on the circuit and just flat-out ruined it.

  • I remember this I was 4 years old, Terrys biggest fan and stayed up late with my dad to watch this. Brings back a good memory, but man did I hate Earnhardt. These were the good days of racing it looks like

  • hey midnight! watch your language in here please!

  • It's nice to see cars with moving suspension. The cars these days are stiff as a board and are too aero sensitive.

  • Just showing this to my son. Nascar was always afraid of Dale Sr. and this is Exhibit 1, any other driver would have been docked the win. Justifiably booed by most in attendance after the finish.

  • Gotta respect Dale, most the kids today wreck/spin themselves when they try to take someone out... Dale was smooth.

  • @jtmcgilbery You respect a man that can't pass somone for the win, so he wrecks him? Dale was an ass.

  • If LaCrybabby was sooooo much better than Earnhardt why did he have to hit Dale twice (including running him into the wall) and push so bad that Earnhardt caught up to him? All you bitches still can't come to terms that Dale was the GREATEST ever and the MOST RESPECTED ever.

Just deal with it you hatting shitheads in denial.

  • @nohbody85

A: Sr. forced him onto the apron on the first pass attempt

B: The one and only time there was contact was because Sr didn't give him any room, and at Bristol the car always moves up the rack on exit.

C: So that's an excuse for Dale not to let up or god forbid try and pass him on the low side, since Terry slid up the track?

I know Dale was the greatest driver ever, I never said he wasn't. I personally didn't like him as a driver because of stuff like this.

  • Terry had the faster car on 4 new tires, if Earnhardt tried to go low he would've just drove away on the top side, and of course he forced him; it's the next to last lap, you expect him to just pull over and give him the win? you moron. Bumping Labonte was his only chance, and unfortunately he crashed. You cant chalk it up to anything more than hard racing, but this is why Earnhardt was the greatest. Anyone else would've run 2nd but he found a way to get his team in victory lane. That's a legend

  • @n0vaca1n3 So you're definition of the best driver ever is one who can't try and find a clean way to get by another driver? He had plenty of room to go low and make the pass, but no. He goes up to the middle of the track and spins Terry.

  • @Lefht The definition of the best driver is one who doesn't lay down when stacked against odds. Terry had four new tires and was going to drive away from Dale irregardless, but instead of just letting him cruise home to victory, Earnhardt knew that bumping him would at least give him a chance. That's typical short-track racing and if you have a problem with contact at Bristol then you shouldn't be watching Bristol. The only issue was that he actually wrecked, but again that's racing.

  • @nohbody85 You ever wonder why Earnhardt is in the cold ground and Labonte is enjoying life? It's called Karma.

  • Glad hes gone. That is all.

  • @MidniteHaze1 Go fuck yourself.

  • well, all I have to say about this finish is, this is just what you have to do to win on a short track, on short tracks, you wreck each other for room, on speedways, you bump each other, and if you wreck then it's your own falt, superspeedways, you only hit someone if it's their back bumber, roadcourses, a combination of all three.

  • I like dales aggression but he goes to far sometimes

  • LaBonte shouldnt have gotten up there messin with that Earnhardt!!! nuff said!!!

  • @TMawesomeD labonte was too close LOL

  • @erasetoimprove

True, not many of the open wheel guys have had success, however, most of them didn't have quality rides

    - Sam Hornish in Penske's redheaded stepchild 77 car

    - Scott Speed being rushed into Cup, when he should of spent at least another year in the lower series

    - Dario Franchitti having sponsorship problems in the 40, before getting injured, then out of a ride from said sponsorship problems

    - any Foyt not named just A.J., but they were no talent assclowns unlike their dad.

    - A.J

  • THAT'S HOW TO WIN A RACE AT BRISTOL

  • That interview with TL was, without a doubt, the most pointless interview ever.

  • That's y I don't like dale that mutch he is a dirty racer

  • @MW2sniper7134 Your a moron... On the last lap thats what you do to win the race thats what the sport was built on , the passion.. The problem with nascar is you dorks living in your moms basement watching Nascar and are kyle busch fans who havent seen real racing which is beating and banging till the checker flag on the last lap...

  • Rest in peace, ya dirty bastard

  • funny how kyle busch has his exact talent and attitude but fans hate him rather stupid. go kyle busch!

  • @angeliarosecooper People don't like his attitude is all. If he wasn't arrogant and stood up when he wrecked someone instead of running like a scared little girl then he might not have everyone hate him. No one can claim to have talent like that till they have 7 titles like Petty or Earnhardt.

  • doesn't take a lot of talent to wreck the people in front of you.....takes talent to pass em and beat em

  • THATS A $50,000 FINE! PARK THE CAR! HE DOESNT RACE FOR 5 WEEKS!!! oh wait... this is when nascar was actual racing... KICK HIS ASS!!!!

  • everyone was giving earnhardt "the bird" but now everyone is giving kyle busch "the bird" hahaha

  • anyone else think of nascar 98 for playstation when hearing flirtin with disaster? lol

  • @ThizzinChampX24 i know i do

  • @ThizzinChampX24 It's almost impossible to not to associate this music with the game. Good times...

  • Wrecking for win eh?

  • you dont tug on superman's cape

  • 6 people must be Terry Labonte fans

  • @kyleboy48 well, i disliked because of earnhardt's win :)

  • good old bumb and run by mr.earnhardt

  • Say what you want about Earnhardt, nobody else had the balls to pull that move, that's what made him the best. He'd go for broke.

  • @n0vaca1n3 he was Dirtty you Not much of a race fan if you Approve of this

    Best Driver my @ss

  • cheating cunt can you do that in nascar

  • Classic Dale Sr. move. Awesome!!!

  • 3:45 140,000 "booing him and giving him the buhd" lol

  • Dale Sr wrecked a clean racer that night! I remember it like yesterday! Terry should have punched him in the face right on TV! #3 is an angel???

  • @tumbusch dale was a rotting piece of shit now

  • Just to defend Dale here a little while he could have avoided this Terry did bump him a bit. Dale just bumped back harder

  • Typical piece of shit "Dirty Dale" driving right there!

  • Who here thinks Nascar has LOST a step from the days of the 90's?

  • @ToroRosso20 brian france f*cked up everything

  • @ToroRosso20 I think they've gotten a lot of it back the last year or so. So far this season is looking awesome and 2010 was pretty good too even though JJ won the championship again, the individual races were generally very entertaining and exciting. However the TV coverage is definitely not nearly as exciting. Bunch of fools in every booth. Fox, ESPN, and TNT all suck right now.

  • "They will be talking about this one for a long time" He was never more right about that. lol

  • it's crazy seeing the whole crowd booing him and givin him the finger. Funny how everyone suddenly became a fan of his after Daytona 2001.

  • Great video!! What a classic! Thanks for the upload!

  • legendary race here

  • wrecking isnt racing

  • True story, I called Spencer a "Fat-ass bitch" in real life back in '02.

  • Edwards is the new earnhardt!

  • Damn.. Only 8 cars finished on the lead lap. Gotta love old school Bristol.

  • @Turle792 yeah it's funny how these dumb new fans (2001 and on) think you need a lot of cars on the lead lap for it to be considered a good race. People start bitching and crying when there's less than 15 cars on the lead lap nevermind 8. And then all those idiots saying that the 2011 Daytona 500 wasn't exciting when it was in fact a great race and reminiscent of a pre-plate Daytona race. Morons.

  • Driving around an oval banked track does not seem to me to require a high amount of skill. It looks like anyone that can stay awake has the best chance of winning the race. Surely anyone that has a good nights sleep and a good car could win a nascar race?

  • @1981Mansell comments like this one are the reason people have most likely labeled you "ignorant," "stupid," "idiotic," and the likes. You obviously have no idea what it takes to race these kinds of cars at tracks like these. At this track in particular the drivers are pull at least 3 G's through the corners. Try doing that 500 times driving at a minimum of 100MPH and minimize what these drivers go through one more time.

  • @1981Mansell dude if you dont like this sport then DONT LEAVE A FUCKING COMMENT i am not a big fan of football and you dont see me going to a football video and posting a comment saying how stupid that sport is, even though i DONT think football is stupid I am just not as into it as i am nascar so 1981 mansell, leave your comments to yourself

  • @1981Mansell then why do 90% of the road racers, even F1 drivers that are supposed to be "best in the world" usually under-achieve in American Stock Car Racing? Obviously you're missing something. Anybody who's driven on a high banked oval realizes that the increased cornering speed counters the fact that it's a banked turn. Add in all the traffic and you got yourself a real race, something F1 hasn't known since the mid 90s.

  • @erasetoimprove Driving around an oval banked track 500 times is not a challenge to anyone with skill. They should implement right and left bends, plus hills and dips. Only the US has NASCAR. F1 is Worldwide, what does that tell you?

  • @1981Mansell NASCAR races on road courses as well. And honestly most of the tracks F1 races on today are really boring road courses.... many of which are wide and have huge runoff areas. F1 being worldwide means nothing when its owner has been ruining it and the racing is usually always uncompetitive. Hasn't been fun to watch since the early to mid 90s. From what I can see in a lot of the feedback, most people around the world rather watch other forms of road racing than F1.

  • @1981Mansell but anyway unless you've raced on ovals yourself, you really don't have any right to comment on how much skill it takes since you don't know. F1 cars have superior handling so how can road racing in an F1 car take any more skill than racing cars that have much less handling on an oval? And most F1 drivers that have come to NASCAR simply could not compete at the front.... and that tells me more than anything in terms of which takes more skill. Either way, I like ALL racing.

  • Why isn't anyone bitching about Labonte running into the back of Earnhardt when he passed him? Earnhardt did the same thing to Labonte.

  • @midnightnavyz28 Because what Terry did to Earnhardt was just racing, what Earnhardt did was well dumping, but hey that was Earnhardt, you loved to hate him, Me being a huge Labonte fan was just like well thats what Dale does. But i've heard after the wreck Dale took Terry hunting and all was forgiven. Even tho i would have seen it end like the 1995 Bristol race, this ending was ok, because it made the Icon Dale Earnhardt.

  • @midnightnavyz28 Yea but the fucked up thing was that if it were ANY other driver NASCAR wouldve penalized him. Its bullshit. Theyve let Earnhardt get away with so much crap and did nothing about it. Not that it matters anymore but still.

  • @OCassassin Idk, back in those days penalizing was all the rage like it has become in the last few years. The reason they let Dale get away with stuff was cause he was the leader of the drivers, if he had said one week alright guys we're not racing this weekend, u can bet not a single driver would be racing, he had that much respect in the business. I wish he didnt die, cause then i know we would have the new "Chase" point system.

  • @OCassassin I agree with you. Earnhardt wrecked and spun so many people and got away with it. Other drivers didn't. Dale Jr. gets away with stuff sometimes too. In 2003 he passed Matt Kenseth under the yellow line and he got away with it. Anybody else did that they would be in trouble. And 09 Daytona 500 he wrecked 10-15 cars. Nothing. Anybody else - penalized. Just because people are good drivers or have a certain last name doesn't mean that they deserve special treatment, you know?

  • @NascarMicci

09 Daytona, that was too "bang bang" for it to be intentional, at least viewing it, and also considering the situation (a checkered flag possibly being dropped at any time due to rain in the area), something like that was going to happen

  • @PYLrulz1984 Yeah, I agree.

  • now all nascar worries about is that stupid green white checkerd. lol. its a shame we dont see races like this anymore. its pretty sad. nascar needs to go back to the old rules. classic earnhardt moment... i was mad this night lol. but i still love earnhardt though=)

  • Comment removed

  • The beginning reminded me of Nascar 98' for PS1.

  • I still hate dale for this! Dead or not, not cool!

  • @burtbowers

quit whining. the object is to win. he won.

  • thats not good racing that is just cheating terry led a good charge up there and earnhardt spun him its called poor sportsmanship

  • this race pisses me off. terry getting robed with such an amazing charge to the front, on bristol! i just want to smash something.

  • @mattie701 that was nascar

watch any professional sport, why do you think rasheed wallace bought wrestling belts for everyone in 2004 when they won the championship

  • This was the whole reason I hated Earnhardt. There was no reason he should've spun Terry.

  • that earnhardt style of winning a race

  • He rattled his cage all right lol!

  • This was racing.

  • The Greatest of All Time

  • that's the difference between a 7 time champ and a 2 time champ.

  • what that dale wrecks everybody and terry doesn't

  • that and you can't win 7 titles and be a wuss bag on the track

  • @allenrw3

well i hate jimmie johnson but the guy has won 4 while being a "wuss bag." So its more than just your style of driving. Its about how much skill you have behind the wheel. along with other team oriented variables

  • @nebulae87 he's not really a wuss bag, he and knause are more steady and calculating.

  • @allenrw3 you said you cant win 7 titles ON THE TRACK by being a wuss bag. In terms of driving style, Johnson IS a "wuss bag." He races everybody clean, he's not an agressive driver....however the guy can drive anything. I hate him but he's proof that you dont need to be an aggressive driver in order to win some cups. I prefer aggressive over clean though. Except for Jeff burton and Mark Martin. Their clean racing results in some fantastic finishes

  • @nebulae87 years back Jimmie Johnson went head on in a very scary crash at Watkins Glen in a part of the track which has killed many drivers over the years. Seconds later he got out of the car and jumped on the roof like the whole thing was fun. He's got guts, he just isn't a dirty driver. NASCAR isn't about dirty driving... it's about having the choice to race your own way whether you're a dirt driver, clean, aggressive, or technical.

  • Comment removed

  • it's funny how people booed him for that and now they applaud it since he's dead--fickle people

  • yea nascar died with earnhardt, plain and simple...everything changed after that, i dont mean saftey, but the rules and everything its ashame

  • dale ;D thats what he did best >.>

  • classic dale xD

  • if roles woulda been reversed terry woulda done the exact same thing

  • "I didn't mean to turn him around"

Bullshit! Then why did you hit him on the CORNER of the car, knowing it would crash him?

He's just an ass. Still sad he died though.

  • @Gorillazfreak18 you obviously dont know ne thing about dale and how he raced then, he never meant to wreck ne body

  • He wrecked people quite often.

It doesn't matter anyway, this "Chase For The Cup" is ruining Nascar. I like Jimmie Johnson but the ONLY reason he has won four straight is due to the fact it exists.

Gordon would have TWO more Championship victories if it wasn't for that stupid CHASE.

  • Um, yeah he did, thus the nickname "The Intimidator". Now I'm a huge Dale Sr fan, & I know that he wrecked people on purpose alot of times

  • amen gorillaz. except remember, he's dead, you can't hate him now. just like michael jackson isn't a pedophile anymore

  • You're right but most people I know think MJ is a pedophile, of course you have these MJ freaks here on youtube but those are the worst.

  • hahah great racing, sucks for Labonte but come on you don't rub against Earnhardt and get away with it!

  • what you think earnhardt was gonna hand him the win on a silver platter? ummm no i dont think so :) hehe SR FOREVER

  • NASCAR

  • people often forget that they battled for the win on the last laps at bristol in '95, labonte crossed the finsh line sideways and went head first into the wall and still won the race

  • I was there. Front row between turns three and four. One of the most exciting races I've been to even though I'm a Jeff Gordon fan. I was only 10 years old at the time.

  • man i remember this like it was yesterday. ten years all ready? shame is one legend is gone, all the rest are retired. this is real nascar

  • does anybody have the jimmy spencer and ricky rudd post race interviews? i remember that was classic with jimmy spencer asking for a 1 second penalty.

  • If i were Terry, I would pull a Rusty Wallace on Dale, now bristol 1995, great race

  • I miss the real Bristol. Too bad Nascar had to kill it with the COT and the new and improved variable banking they put down at Bristol. I'm just glad I was around for the real deal back in the day.

I remember this race like it was yesterday. As Comic Book Guy would say; "Best Nascar Race Ever!!!".

    RIP Bristol

  • i remember bristol from the 70's and 80's. bristol used to be asphalt and bigger, and it used to have like 3 lines that you could run "back in the day", its boring with just one line, and people get wrecked needlessly.

  • @BadWolf762

    Wrong.

The Bristol today is built like the Bristol before the concrete was installed in the speedway the first time. Watch any ESPN Classic race of any Bristol race before the concrete was laid. They mention EVERY TIME that the banking there is variably banked.

The problem is the drivers are too pussy to do anything. They are too concerned about "points racing". Put a nice carrot (a new points system) in place, and you will see Bristol (and many other tracks) show their teeth

  • @PYLrulz1984 your first paragraph is right but the second paragraph is wrong. Actually I think today's drivers are every bit as exciting as the old ones, they just haven't all gotten to that "cagey veteran" stage yet. I don't think there's such thing as a "pussy" race car driver except for start and parks. What I think you and most others have failed to point out is that Bristol's surface is only now wearing out to the point where grip level falls off. Either way thanks for your first point

  • @BadWolf762 I think now that the COT looks and drives like an actual RACE CAR.... and the surface at Bristol has gotten more worn in.... the racing at Bristol will be much more exciting. Plus as somebody already pointed out, the new Bristol is much like the original Bristol, before it was changed to concrete - which I always thought put on a better show.

  • @BadWolf762 why they can pass now!!!

  • say what you want, earnhardt raced you the way you raced him. "terry got into me in the middle of 3 and 4". as DW said about dale, "you hit me once, i'll hit you twice"

mark martin never hit earnhardt, dale never laid a bumper on martin.

  • the only thing earnhardt did was wreck people at the right time

  • terry labonte is the man for not bitching about this

  • At The End of the Race when Jimmy Bumped Dale You Can see the Back of the 3 has damage at 2:33

  • Terry bumping Dale when he passed him was a completely different thing than Dale slamming Terry. Terry had to move Dale out of the way because Dale came down to block him. If you're going to block, you deserved to get bumped out of the way. But after Terry passed him, Dale followed Terry up the track and rammed into the back of him to spin him out. I don't see how anyone can say anything other than he wrecked him on purpose. Even Ned Jarrett and Benny Parsons knew it was on purpose. Just listen.

  • I spoke in person with Andy Graves at fall Dover race last year regarding this race. Andy told me that once Terry passed Dale, both of them "knew it was coming" Actually Andy said the "spin to win" on Terry was sooner than expected!

  • This isn't any different then when Kyle wrecks into somebody, yet all the Dale Earnhardt fans jump on him like a bunch of flies on rotten Pizza.

Kyle wrecks someone for a win, he's a piece of shit. When Sr wrecked someone for a win he was a god and the best driver ever.

    Gotta love hypocrites.

  • he is the best driver ever if he raced kyle he would beat kyle so bad, kyle would die from humiliation

  • No, they'd both wreck the hell out of each other.

  • haha i would watch that

  • So would I lol

  • @Nicko7200 You are as right as a human being can get.I like Kyle, but he is WAAY to full of himself.

  • Me and my dad won tickets to this race. lets not forget dale pitted on the backstretch and only had two fresh tires versus terry's 4 new tires. We saw about six fights walking back to our car. Funny thing was all the fights were between earnhardt fans and gordon fans. ROFL!

  • terry hit him once, so Dale hit him twice, once when he passed him and then again in turns 3 and 4... Sounds fair to me

  • lol he must be a Kyle Busch fan that would explain his Ignorance

  • What the fuck is your problem dip shit! The man was the best racer out there, and he just raced the way the fans wanted to see; rough and would do anything to get a win. And I hope to god that he has mercy on you, Mutha Fucker!

  • i hope god don't have mercy on his ass

  • you know, terry messed up because he was wayyyyy faster than everyone with tires, if he wouldn't have messed up and slid high, the contact never would have had a chance to happen. Labonte was still pretty cool though. Just figured id point out the fact that labonte should have been long gone.

  • Comment removed

  • look at that though all but 8 cars on the lead lap dont see that anymore

  • okay i love earnhardt as much as the next guy but he just plain wrecked terry labonte, it was wrong. and yes i agree with RyanW08, earnhardt broke rules constantly and NASCAR never penalized him, but they penalized other guys for things that weren't even performance enhancing

  • But didnt Terry get into Dale and move him? Thats just Bristol

  • true. he got into him. but he didn't wrecked him. he was "rattling his cage" as earnhardt said he was trying to do.

  • They penalized Dale 2 or 3 laps in the 1993 CocaCola 600 because he spun someone, which he made up all the laps and STILL won.

  • Can anyone here post that big crash that happened earlier in this race?

  • Labonte hit Dale going into 3 and door slammed him off 4. As the old saying goes, hit me once and I'll hit you twice.

  • fuck you dickhead. that is really uncalled for

  • jimmy spencer wanted to beat the fuck outta Dale. I remember that race. my grandpa and were so pissed. Both Dale SR and JR are and were fucking jokes.

  • Wow, please use your kleenex towelettes to put out the fuse on your tampon. FYI, Dale would kick Spencer's fatass any day, and Jr. has nothing to do with this. If you actually watched the whole race you'd know that Terry had already hit Dale 3 times before the final lap, then Dale retaliated because Terry overdrove the corner. So pull your brainless head out of your ass, pay attention and quit crying like a little pussy-sore bitch loser, you fag.

  • I never said jr had anything to do with this . I said he and his dad are both jokes. NASCAR did everything they could to help Sr. if you watched the races you would know. He broke rules constantly and NASCAR did a thing. Remeber when his crew worked on his car out of his pit, thats a penalty that he never recieved. So pull your brainless head out of your ass. And check your tampon, you must be on your period. your gettin all worked up bcuz i dont like dale jr or sr. cry me a river you fag.

  • "I never said jr had anything to do with this" no fucking duh sherlock shit-for-brains; so quit bashing him for his popularity cuz you have a stick up your ass on his DAD's video you waste of condom money. And just cuz you're a complete retard with sand in his vagina and gayer comebacks than the crap you scraped off your teeth doesn't make your bullshit story any truer. Now get the fuck off youtube and go piss on some powerlines you rainbow-warrior-loving cumdumpster.

  • Man, cmon. WTF is your problem? Your name calling is stupid. All your doing is yelling at me because i dont like Sr or JR. could you get anymore immature. And my combacks were exactly what u said to me, so that would make your comments "gayer than crap". so how can i say this in your language. Go jack off a horse, you cock sucking cum guzzler. and yes my story is true.

  • I suppose some of you enjoy the sissified racing of today. NASCAR died with Dale Sr. in my opinion.

  • No way, NASCAR is a joke now, NASCAR didn't die with Sr. It died when that entire generation left. SR, Bill Elliot, Rusty, Allison... and so on.
