    0:22 Doesn't make it right

    0:31 See above

    0:40 Separate is not equal

1:00-1:17 That was prior to and unrelated to gay marriage

1:35 Gender is important to me too! As a gay man I want another man, not a woman!

1:50 Your "perfect" fails most of the time union

2:12 Bottom Line: You think gay couples are not as valid as you, but you'll allow it

  • What about hermaphrodites? They will always be hermaphrodites?

  • People are free to choose the way they want to live, but NOT redefining society or marriage.Marriage has be between man & woman for several thousand years. Why the sudden desperation to alter that?Seeking approval and acceptance?"Coming Out Day" at the Hayward school proves that same sex marriage will be in the schools, even in kindergarten, and without parental consent. The CA Edu Code already calls for marriage to be taught in schools; 96% teach it.VOTE YES on 8!Cut the profanity-lack of vocab?

  • being gay or not being gay is primarily a moral/religious issue.

in a country that purports to be under a secular rule of law this should not be an issue.

if you do not agree with gay marriage...dont get one!

your (or mine, if I had any) religious views are private and are not to be forced, by law or convention on any one outside your own skin.

    to sum up.

keep your fucking religious views out of my constitution you fucking narrow minded bigots!

    just shut the fuck up!

  • zencat999: you are amazing! 'if you do not agree with gay marriage... don't get one!'

  • Thank you for this thoughtful video. I agree with you 100%!

Gender is a vital part of who we are!

Vote yes on Prop. 8! I did!

  • you can go fuck yourself you peace of shit

  • Why are you still reading these comments? It is over and we won. Deal with it and move on. You clearly reveal your lack of intelligence with your choice of foul language and incorrect spelling. GET A LIFE!!! And I am blocking you, so don't bother trying to respond.

  • fuck you, its because of you peaces of shit i have lost my faith in god because you people gave me the thought that prop 8 is right because god said it is well thanks i am now god free

  • It's because of someone else that you lost your faith in God?

  • no not really i never really ever believed in god, it imaginary to me

  • Can you imagine if your child ended up being gay (god forbid!)? Your active campaigning against their equality will leave them conflicted and hurt. Why do you think suicide is much higher among gay teens that non-gay teens? Because of people like you.

I hope that you have a child and he turns out to be gay. I then hope this child kills himself. That'll learn ya.

  • lol..i take it you/your child is a homosexual and perhaps you/he has contemplated suicide..i genuinely hope so don't just think about it though.. those veins arent going to cut themselves, do it make the world a better place and when your son gets to hell lets hope he gets a big fat deep dicking every night before bed...

  • I'm voting Yes on Prop 8. Marriage should be defined as only between a man and a woman, and there will be serious consequences to our society and our children if same-sex marriage is allowed.

  • If all marriage is to you is a definition of "man & woman" then the point of marriage is lost. Commitment & love should have been the focal points. Even if the term "marriage" is solely reserved for heteros, which I say let you have it if it makes you happy, it still doesn't make civil unions equal. Read up on the differences between marriage & civil unions and learn about the blatant lack of equal treatment. Do you believe gays are arguing over a stupid name or want to change YOUR marriage?

  • YES on 8. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Domestic partnerships have every single right that a married couple has (CA Family Code 297.5). Marriage is between a man and a women. Let's not change the age old definition of a word just to make 2% of the population happy. I state again- Domestic Partnerships have every single right that a married couple has. All the research says that keeping marriage between one man and one woman is best for society as a whole. YES on 8!

  • weedizzie63 First- students must have a signed permission slip to go on a field trip- that means they had parental approval. But from your response I wonder what it is your afraid of? Are you afraid that if you child learns about gays & lesbians that they'll become gay? Scientific fact- people cannot be socialized into being homosexual. I'm glad that you are concerned about your child's welfare- just don't teach them to fear or hate people just because they are different. Vote No on 8!!!

  • Well said. Thanks for sharing. Yes on traditional marriage! Yes on religious freedom! Yes on free speech! No on sign-stealing! YES on PROP 8!

  • I am a teacher in LA and clearly you don't understand the gender policy. The gender policy of LAUSD means not treating children differently based on gender. For example- if you say girls get to play volley ball only but don't get to play basketball because that's only for boys-then your violating the policy. That's the intent of the gender policy- equal treatment. Don't you think children should be treated fairly regardless of gender? Don't you think that people should be treated equally? No On 8

  • I think you (and much of the country) are confusing equality with uniformity. Sometimes equality is best achieved through uniformity. But that should not be the only (or even primary) tool in our arsenal. We should recognize gender as a key and integral part of our existence WHILE promoting equality. Thanks.

  • So you're saying that same sex marriages will NOT be taught in our schools? That's fine but why am I seeing the exact opposite of what you guys are saying in the news? The teacher's wedding with the first grade class? The Coming Out Day? Do those things not teach our children a thing or two? So that makes a liar out of all of those No on Prop 8 commercials that claim otherwise. So I will be voting YES on Prop 8 because it's my job to teach my daughter about that not the schools.

  • Sorry, but the world is already evolving (Belgium / Canada / Netherlands / Norway / South Africa / Spain) and these said countries are not suffering because of gay marriage.

  • Gender identity is an entirely separate issue than sexuality and, yes, is the next major issue to be dealt with in the LGBT social movement.

Prop 8 won't take away rights? Wrong. Thanks to DOMA, same-sex civil unions and domestic partnerships are NOT recognized at the Federal level (even though they are the same at the state level under Cali Family code 297.5), denying some 1,138 rights to same-sex couples.

  • Prop 8 is state issue. DOMA is not applicable to prop 8. Don't correlate the two if they have no effect on each other.

  • The fact is that all of this (including the No campaign against Prop 8) is an effort to establish precedent against DOMA.

No same-sex unions are recognized at the federal level (not even marriages, I don't think), but what's been happening in CA, MA, CT affects the rest of the country because it IS about taking down DOMA down the line.

Defining marriage as prop 8 does sets this process back more than you realize. They do relate.

  • Nevermind that it IS unconstitutional to define who can marry whom, because the California State Constitution says that it is a fundamental right to marry the person of one's choosing.

The Cali Supreme Court used this, and a 1940s decision regarding interracial marriage (which referred to the same fundamental right) in determining that Prop 22 was unconstitutional.

Prop 22, Prop 8, DOMA --> all unconstitutional. Read about why and give me a valid reason why Prop 8 should be passed.

  • Cicero explained that all laws must be measured by God's Law. Our Constitution was based on Natural Law or God's law, and this totally goes against God's law. As John Adam's said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other". This is a moral issue, not a civil issue.

  • "kids can go to school and decide what gender they are"

    omgpeople decideing things!NOOOOO! LOL

the union of marriage is of choice, and correct me if im wrong:

divorced couple dsnt care about the sanctity of marriage

gay cuple values sanctity of marriage as lng as cmmitted

straight peep: value sanctity of marriage as long as committed

joe millionare.straight man.on tv show for marriage. no sanctity

why not do favor & outlaw tv shows that devalue marriage instead, no one will argue that for sure!!

  • Awesome, thanks for exercising your freedom of Speech- even as others hate on you for it. Tolerance? Let's see how the others tolerate your feelings...

  • Yeah, it would be a shame to include gays as equal citizens. And of COURSE Prop 8 will solve ALL the complaints of the fundamentalists.

If you think that, I;ve got some PRIME land to sell you.

    Vote NO on Prop 8!

  • Did they move BYU to California?
