I loved watching Matt as Guybrush, Awesome job.

I noticed from the beginning of this part, to around the 4:30 mark, Guybrush still has the necklace on. How could the ghosts see him? Hmm. Maybe the cannibals deactivated its power or something. Lol. This play is excellent!!!

That play was too brilliant for words. They tried to follow it perfectly, nearly word for word, and i think they did a really good job. I'd love to see a Monkey Island 2 play. Well done to all the actors and everyone on this one.

Seriously though, although the movie Pirates of the Carribean is based on the Theme Park ride of the same name, when that ride was built there was a bit of underground controversy as a lot of people thought Disney were ripping off Lucas' Monkey Island games...think about it though, they are VERY similar, in both Story, Characters and Comedy Style.

Abelol is right; there is absolutely NO contreversy between potc and the monkey island games, as The Secret of Monkey Island was released in 1990, and Pirates of the Carribean (The Ride) opened in 1967. TOO much of a gap for it.

I thought it wasn't bad at all. You can't have everyone act perfectly, but at least those that partook stuck to the lines from the game. Even guybush himself, the way he stood and gestured wasn't exactly like guybrush, but it was believable that if Guybrush was real he stand and move in that way anyway. I thought it was really well done.

I agree, there's no way to replicate the game 100%. I remember at the end one of the dialog choices was "My spear and magic helmet"  (I love bugs bunny) and there was a funny sequence after the credits if you "accidentally" sunk your ship. lol
