The "you must read Al Qur'an in Arabic" hidy hole just won't wash.

How does one learn to read Al Qur'an other than by learning from deeply religious Muslims in a religious setting? Should one only judge Marxism after years of study among marxists? It seems that those who say that the meaning change to mean (he did not become Muslims) are grasping! Mohammad Islam came way later after Abraham and as such it would make no sense to say that they refused to become Muslim. The Quranic verse as is Falama "[37:103] They both submitted, and he put his forehead down (to sacrifice him)." makes perfect sense in the story.

Abraham was a muslim in the sense of submitting to God not Islam as following Islamic Sharia!

The koran written without dots and tashkeel an omani buthead called farahidi added the dots and an irani assface called sibawe added tashkeel. Now we are really in trouble. Because nobody ever lived to read the hard copy. Sorry for my French

In Surah 37:103 of the Samarkand/Tashkent Codex, the ayaa reads "wa ma aslamaa...", which translates to "and they did not submit" (become Muslims). Yet, modern Qur'ans read "Falammaa aslamaa.." which translates to "and they submitted". The change of this one word changes the meaning of the ayaa to a diametrical opposite.

The Indian quaran prints is the Urdu (Persian& Arabic hybrid language)style of fonts and the Egyptian print is the wide spread "Othman" print in Arabic font of Nassikh suitable for reading in the recitation of "Hafs from A'ssim".Insha Allah it is clear.

bonnydayz , the energy of 1+1 doesn't equal to more than the sum 2, because the existing energy as per the 1st law of thermodynamic can't be created nor destroyed. Synergy is a term used to express that the efficiency of two independent activities is less that the efficiency of these two activities are combined as one larger activity. This concept could be better understood under the concept of "economies of scale"
