We have a Teisco guitar on the back on an art car at our museum! The car is called Pico de Gallo (the music car). The guitar was found in a music store dumpster. We gave it a new life and it, along with many other orphaned instruments, brings smiles & musical inspiration to many people on tour each year.
@JeffateaSnickers - It's just one I made up for the video - most of what you hear in these videos is just me fumbling around (unless you recognize the song, or course)
I HAVE THE SAME GUITAR BUT MY STUPID ASS GIRLFRIEND STEPPED ON THE NECK AND NOW I SEE NO USE FOR IT. DO U KNO ANYONE WHO WOULD WANT TO BUY OR MAYBE SELL ME THEIR NECK/FRETBOARD??? (WILL NEGOTIATE)
@GiroRaptile Hey ! - hope you still have that excelsior w/broken neck - I'd like to buy it you can email me back at jboy109@hotmail.com or call me Dave at 910-686-4043 - Please get in contact if you still have it, Thanks
@GiroRaptile Yes ! I've been looking for one - Please contact me at jboy109@hotmail.com or call me Dave at 910-686-4043 - Please get in contact if you still have it, Thanks
I have an old Eko archtop guitar with 2 pickups and 4 switches! They are actually buttons, One for the bridge pickup, Another for the Neck pickup, One for both, And one to turn them off.
That guitar sounds like everything that was good about music from the 50s to early 70s

I love italian vintage instruments! One of my dreams is creating a band for playing italian beat with original vintage instruments.

@jks2
A lot of 1960's guitars have phase switches, most eko electrics seem to be inspired by thing like the fender jaguar which also have phase switches.

Very tinny sound, much like Jack Whites

the name is Excelsior Dynamo II ('60 's italian brand from Recanati the same of Eko etc etc)
sz80 2 years ago
@sz80 Believe the correct name is Dyno - they had a Dyno I then the Dyno II also made a Malabu I & II - started making them in the 50's

all of these videos are starting to make me think I need a nice old Kay... hehe
what amp are you playing through?
Bestroneti 3 years ago
A 1980's or 1990's solid-state Fender combo amp with the reverb turned up.
I don't know the model name off the top of my head.
terser 3 years ago
@Bestroneti I would highly recommend getting an old Kay guitar. I have a 1963 Kay Vanguard, it's awesome
