@idontcare80 Good idea. Let America fall out one of the largest and most vital areas of economy, see what that gets you. Buy foreign, but get used to recession-style living. This entire video is totally biased starting with the one post promoting American cars being flagged as spam when it contains nothing offensive.
@hiccupsOne230 Good idea. Let's just let scum bag companies, who produce junk cars, fail on purpose, take our money and put us into massive debt do this to us as many times as they want! Companies should be shown that failing on purpose will always be rewarded in this country!
BTW, my Honda was built in the USA, by AMERICAN workers and many other "foreign" car companies employ hundreds of thousands of Americans EACH just like Honda does.
@idontcare80 WOW!! theyve won you over haha. .. they build them here just so people like you can say exactly what you just said to yourself... but all them foreign car companies who employ all these people wont let them unionize either.. not to mention when you spend the tens of thousands of dollars on these vehicles, all the money goes straight to japan or where ever the corporate headquarters may be.
@idontcare80 well i live right down the street from GMs Lordstown plant where they make the new chevy cruze.. so dont tell me they havnt done anything for me....not to mention a packard delphi plant right next door where they make the electronics for GM...they employ thousands, so they have done something for me.my community is what it is bc of them...think of all the tax money they pay to the fed and state gov't, dont you think some of that money went towards roads, schools, and military?
@yfz450mane You're forgetting that GM took 49.5 BILLION dollars of American tax money when they were going belly up? Just Google GM bailout and see what comes up. GM also used some of that money to refit a plant in MEXICO. How about that, huh? Using OUR tax dollars to create MEXICAN JOBS.
Anyway, I really don't care where GM makes it cars, because they're total junk. Recall after recall for fires, loss of control, brake problems, faulty safety equipment, etc. etc. I'll stick with Honda, thanks.
@idontcare80 BTW, the Cruze platform was mostly developed by Opel, and so was the entire Ecotec engine series. They are a GERMAN company. So just like with the Japanese cars, it is a foreign design being built (partly) in the US.
@yfz450mane Who cares? They failed on purpose and they build shit cars so they should have disappeared off of the face of the planet. That is how capitalism is supposed to work.
@idontcare80 Hey, man, I have friends who drive American cars and they ran more than 130k mailes without problems. Another one of mine has driven 95 Jeep Grand Cheerokee and ran more than 250k miles. I don't see any difference between Japanese auto and American if you take care of car wholeheartedly.
@forthelulz87 everyone has their own experience. Some people have good experience with Mercedes while others don't. You can't judge car makers just by your own experience.
@forthelulz87 So because you had prior bad experience with certain car makers, does that mean cars from those makers always suck? There are others who have good experience with them. I have tried both imports and domestics, and didn't notice any difference between them. If people read their manual and maintain their vehicles properly, cars always live longer regardless of their brand.
@forthelulz87 Well pal, I have tried every different manufacturers, but they are all same. People who complain about their cars are the ones who even didn't read the manual and maintain the car according to it. I think you are no different than those folks.
@forthelulz87 Nope that is total BS. American cars are not crap anymore. Yes they were worse in 90's, but they were improved once they hired global talents from everywhere around the world. Look at Cruze, Sonic, and upcoming Spark.
@forthelulz87 That's funny, were you expecting a phone call or letter in the mail asking for your permission? Here's how it works pal; 'Consent for the loan to GM' came from congress, congress is electing by "we the people", therefore congress is sent to represent us, the people! You understand? So technically, you did have a say in it, if you voted. hehe.
@yfz450mane And yes, Honda has won me over. There are 5 Hondas in my family, ranging from 25 years old to 4 years old, NONE of them have ever had a single problem, EVER.
