Art Jewelry - Threading a blade in a saw frame

I don't know if Addie is still associated with Art Jewelry magazine, but her videos are most excellent. I'm just getting to the 'sawing' party, and this video helped a lot. Thank you, Addie!

One thing I'd mention is - at one point I was having trouble getting the blade to tighten. Turned out that I had a tiny part of a broken saw blade in the grip where the blade rests..it was keeping it from getting tight. There were also copper grains of dust in there-so the combo maybe was the culprit.

Hello,

The piece of wood with a V cut-out is called a bench pin. And that particular type is called a "Combination Anvil and Bench Pin." We bought ours online from Contenti tool company. It's nice and portable since the metal part will clamp on to any bench or table.
