Its dirt jumping, they dont have to use rear if the dont want to. Rear suspension adds alot of weight, and we know what gravity and weight do to speed.

Very nice riding, what year was it when you filmed this? I began to go Chicksands in 2006 and i can make out the track but its changed alot.
