  • Me: "dear Santa..."

    Santa: "HELL NO!!!!!"

  • I seen the steel plate, I shat my pants.

  • im in love with that gun

  • DEAR SANTA....

  • how much damage can this gun do to human body ? and can it penetrate some humans standing behind each other ?

  • @masterco93 well, this weapon is used against lightly armored targets on the battlefield, such as APCs,IFVs,etc and it can easily disable them,if not destroy them.So I think I gave you an idea of what this thing is capable of.

  • @masterco93 One second you're standing there, the next, you are standing there. And there, and there, and there, and there... This thing literally turns people into red cloud of bloody mist.

  • Mounting it on an apache?! (look at comments below) I think it might be the same length as an apache, it's about 20" long!

  • turns a tank into swiss cheese in less than a second....

  • If you deBill, not learned in school - come to learn, and not to fuck all the brains!

    GAU-8 Avenzher: Weight -281 kg. Length - 6.06m .!!! (Total system); Action - Electric-Motor (losers), Hydraulic-Driven; Rate of fire - 4200 rpm

GSH-6-30: Weight - 149 kg, length - 2040 mm; Action - Gas actuated, electrically driven (to control who does not know) Rate of fire - 4000-6000 rpm

GSH-6-23: Rate of fire - 9000-10000 rounds per minute !!! All the cowboys - go home quietly crying into your pillow;))

  • @silvermitriy Dude thanks to you I think I found my new favorite cannon :-P

  • jeeeeeeeeez is this on the AC130 if it isnt put that shit on there

  • WTF are you lot talking about?

A rail gun uses a set of electromagnetically charged rails to launch a projectile.

A chain gun uses a bicycle chain to load the ammo into the weapon.

A gatling gun has multiple spinning barrels.

The GAU-8 is clearly a gatling gun.

And there is no way anyone could fire that while holding it. It's the size of a car. Literally.

  • in fact,it is even bigger than a car.there are photos comparing a gau 8 with a volgswagen beetle and the gun is way bigger than that

  • Yep, the barrels alone are the size of the car.

Most of what's behind the card is the ammo hopper, I think. Still, the gun is huge.

  • @DGneoseeker1 It is based off of the Gatling guns on the same basis that it has multiple barrels, but its true name is a Rotary Cannon.

  • in 2009 i handheld fired one of these, they have verry big recoil

  • @kwal1983 you hand-fired a 1.5 ton autocannon?

  • @sakredfire ....that liar....if he did he must be 50 feet tall and arms like a super crain.

  • @kwal1983 --you are full of bull-crap...

  • @kwal1983 Very big recoil? Lol, they are mounted... and a gattling gun wouldn't even have big recoil

  • im not suprized of how thick it can go through armour becasue seen a 30 mm shell and it is huge!!! good vid

  • They have an almost identical display at Hills Aerospace Museum in Utah.

  • when they gonna mount this gun the nose of an apache??

  • The moment they want the helicopter to do mach 2 backflips

  • @lrecollet its too big for that

  • davinci would shit his pants

  • It is a cannon, over .60 cal is considered cannon. As 30mm is a little over an inch and .60" is just over half an inch, she quals.

"I built a bad ass gun, lets put a plane on it."

"You mean, 'let's put it on a plane' right?"

"No, you build a plane around it."

    And the A-10 was born.

  • you should just check out what i saw a few weeks ago. a-10s working with the su-25s. the link is on my page. it was pretty much the heat. im a loader. the best job in the world hands down. i loaded 1150 in and got to see them come out at the range.

  • Its just SAD to see this piece of plane stuck in a museum.....

It should be flying and destroying blowing shits up!! Even for the Reserve of the US its a usefull plane.

  • i thought avengers were accurate up to 6 miles o.o?

  • Hey I'm an old loader on the A-10A and I just wanted to say that the GAU-8A Avenger is a 30 mm 7 barrel gatling gun. I can't say how many rounds it can carry nor can I say the rpm for the gun. But it is NOT a cannon. I also worked on the M61A1s used in F-16s

  • that thing on a hog im glad im on its good side

  • Arn't those thing usually found on A10s?

  • correct

  • omg that ugly tune

  • Juas! Muy buen comentario guascazo. Realmente es un autentico abrelatas.

  • es el mejor abrelatas aerotransportado que hay en la actualidad habria que buscarle otros usos de ser posible a bordo de lanchas patrulleras u otras unidades de la escuadra

  • lol all hail human innovention(^_^)

  • its the uranium bullets

  • The rounds are uranium tipped, armor piercing rounds.

  • The rounds are uranium tipped, armor piercing rounds.

  • DEPELETED uranium! If it was normal uranium you would have a radioactive hazard.

  • wats the point of depleted uranium tips? wats the point?

  • They aren't tipped really, they either have a depleted uranium core, or are entirely depleted uranium. They do this for the same reason why we use lead bullets. They are dense. It's denser than lead. A dense object has greater mass than a less dense object of equal size. The more mass, the more damage it will do.

  • Still it is a little bit radioactive..... Some gun loaders have cancers now...

  • man thats 1 phat beat please o please tell us the name of that song and the 30 mm is a remarkable gun it is a beast

  • its not a gun its a cannon

  • omg whos gettin another but hole ripped by that dang

  • thats the gun raven used in metal gear solid 1

  • wow, can you say Super Phallic? Penetrating armor "69" mm thick. Okay I want one!

  • haha, well put!

  • that is not a minigun or a gatling gun.......its a fucking beast!!!!!!!!!

  • oh no problem, think you could let me know sometime?

  • damn cool music, know what its called by chance?

  • yeah i do, but im not sure what it is right now, because i just built a new computer and the network is not working right now. sorry

  • show us a demonstration

  • that's a tight ass beat!

  • no its not.

  • i didnt ask you.

  • Excellent.

  • i want 1!!!!! txlg2 ask ur dad if he can get me 1 lol

  • i saw one in action, since my dads at the airforce...

alll i could say afterwards to the gun was:

    S-I-C-K F-U-C-K-E-R

  • this thing is as big as a volkswagen beetle. i saw the photo of one next to a beetle.

  • Darn! I'm sorry, guess I'll have to correct that.... :)

  • Actually, the gun is not capable of penetrating 69mm of armor. The ammunition which the gun fires....well, that's more like it. Just being a technically correct irritation. :0)

  • went inside the warner robins air force base.

  • i went inside the warner robins air force base.

  • is there a stronger gatling gun than this? i don't think so. this is a killa. soon the U.S might upgrade this gun or make a new one to penetrate at least 200mm of armor.

  • dude no need These bullets go over mach 1 in speed so thy have enough force to blast trough almost everything

  • of course they are kidding. it takes up half the body of the thunderbolt 2 tank killer no human could hold on to something that big even if they could handle the recoil not tomention the torque from the spinning barrels being massive.

  • 1,830 kg (4,029 lb) Gatling gun + 3.000 kg of recoil from the hip? Who are you? Hulk?

  • i fired one from the hip too, but i wasn't tied down and i got launched into low earth orbit.

    -posting from space

  • The 30mm cannon is on the A-10 warthog. Look up videos for the A-10 and that is the gun it uses. It can rip tanks apart with a one second burst.

  • in some years a 155 mm gatling gun with plutonium shells damn thats a weapon

  • What?! It must've been scrapped. Aren't those standard tank rounds? Surely it didn't fire near the speed of a vulcan cannon. I could see it being used. Maybe it rotates every second. Jesus... you could wipe out... anything.

  • i was just kiddin, hell yeah that would be awesome or maybe those heavy bullets of 750 mm that the germans used on the leopold cannon on ww2

  • hell yeah it fires hella fast, an a-10 can fire all of its ammunition on the gun (1200 rounds) in 17 seconds, and yes it can definately wipe out anything, they call it the silent killer because you are already dead by the time you hear the sound...

  • This weapon is in fact a vulcan cannon. It fires 4200 rounds per minute

  • This is in fact the GAU-8 Avenger which is also capable of 4200 RPM. Count the Barrels for 1 and the Vulcan has six barrels, the GAU-8 has 7 barrels. Plus talking 20mm vs 30mm. Anyways the Vulcan is still considered a gatling gun. And as far as depleted uranium goes it is still radio active just less radioactive than natural uranium, but still has the same mass as natural uranium.

  • I didn't know such a death machine was created. I know all about the 7.62minigun, and 20mm vulcan, but a 30MM cannon???

    I had know idea.

  • yeah this thing is more compact than the m61 too-proprtionatly. sucks to be on the recieving end

  • 30mm gatling gun.. not a cannon, cannons fire slower

  • You may want to double check that. This weapon is actually a vulcan cannon. Not a gatling gun.

  • are u retarded? Look up "vulcan cannon" on google and look at the results. There is no GAU-8 Avenger gatling cannon. And a vulcan cannon fits into the category of "gatling cannon", with multiple, revolving barrels each with their own bolt and breach. Get your facts straight

  • I guess I'm the retarded one huh? An 18 year old web surfer says to the 27 year old U.S. Marine machinegunner. I believe that it is quite possible that I have more knowledge about weapon systems (not to mention trigger time) than you do.

  • but if you want to get really technical, it is a rotary cannon. Maybe "gatling type" but not gatling gun.

  • Watch the video and count the barrels on this weapon, it has 7. The M61 Vulcan only has 6 barrels. The M61 fires 20mm rounds, the GAU-8 fires 30mm rounds. Look up the facts yourself, and been a machine gunner doesn't make you an expert. I'm a Marine also and have trigger time on a GAU-12 which is a 25mm version that is on harriers, AC-130's, and LAV-AD's. Semper Fi

  • @sherwizzle81 "vulcan" is a designation or "brand" of a gatling-type machine gun that has six barrels and fires 20mm ammo. "Vulcan" here is a name like "falcon" for theF-16...just a name, not a class of weapon.

  • BAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA!!! From the hip!! Thats hilarious!! Give me a second. BAAAAAAAAA HHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAA!!! so firing it from the hip and all who paid for the amunition (depleted uranium shells = serious $)

  • Firing the Avenger from the hip is not recommended. I have also fired the Avenger from the hip. I concur with Plur307 that there is very little recoil. However after a 8 sec burst I did sustain serious burns to my hip.

  • I also got one on e-bay, however after a 8 sec burst I burnt my hip. Not recommended.

  • You fired a 30mm 2 ton Gatling Gun from the hip... right...

  • rofl :D

  • I fired one of these from the hip the other day and it hardly had any recoil.

  • You mean you fired a 2 ton Gatling gun from the hip? Assuming that is possible...how exactly did you get access to one of the more dangerous weapons on the planet?

  • Ebay, how else would i get one?

  • Ok whatever. You must be the strongest bastard alive and as big as an elephant.

  • Bullshit

  • Captain Obvious to the rescue!
