Very nice I have a 1968 GT fastback with a very rare 289CID small block. Only about 285 or so were made with the 289 they were made for Richard Petty's racing team, he took 11 of them the rest went up for sale and my dad got one, the only one there was in the whole city of Chicago. Sad to say I have to put her up for sale ASAP need the cash in a big hole right now, but great stuff I loved it.
WOW! Great video! I was floored to see my old 68 Torino in the first shot! I sold it to a friend who moved out of state and has since passed away. The car has been sold again and I lost track of it. Thanks for the memories! Love it!
still very fond of don henley's original version of this song...but this song brought back memories...say what you want about ford, cus i'm a chevy guy...but after all ford was the very first car period!
how cheap could i get one of these for? This is my all time favorite car...I mean look at it. It is a fucking BEAST!!!! I really love the 72. but how cheap could i get a ford torino that needs a little work done?
@Northernsharpshooter It all depends my friend.... I looked at a few all 71's with a 4 speed and eather a 429 CJ or SCJ and all in near mint condition The highest was 73,100$ but I finally settled on a a CJ only thing wrong is the guy swapped blocks for a 4 bolt main so numbers don't match and he made a few changes to make it into the SCJ version...... but she is cherry and cost me 20,000$
i got a 68 s code torino needs little work but its all there i drive it but want restore it better condition - yes unerated cars for proformance but thats ok i liek lighting it up and watching faces grin
Nice show. I love the torino's. i Have a 71 GT 351c that im restoring. I love seeing love for these cars. I see them as the lost cars of the muscle cars. Under appreciated but loved by the people that know them.
my grandfather had one of these. 429 cobra jet. but he was gunned down by some gangsters and he gave it to his Asian neighbor in his will. which is kinda funny because he was pretty racist.
they made good racecars, back when my grandpop and uncle were racin street stock they would find old torinos and galaxies, stick 428s 427s and 390s in em and go race, of course this was the early 70s so they didnt think these cars would be worth so much now.
my grampa had a gran torino cobra jet, candy apple red with a white convert, 4 on the floor, nice car, though he was young and stupid and didnt know that now the car would be worth over $200,000... in like 70 somethin he sold it for like 800.... bought a dautson...
wtf are you talking about ???..look at a 70 buick or chevelle ...same fucking car ??
all the intermediate sized GM cars are all the same as well?...78 and up cutlas or monte carlo or buick regal and the pontiac g/p///all the same car ..GM did the same dam thing as well ...chevette / pontiac t 1000...same car...GM doe;s the exact same thing ...and mopar as well
My second car as a kid in 1976-1978 was a '73 fastback with the 351 Windsor (2bbl), Olive green exterior with green vinyl interior. new guys with the '73 fastback with 351 clevelands. Ballsy car!
great car but tended to eat tires. too bad as a kid I couldn't afford to keep running it, traded it for a new 1979 Pinto wagon.
my grandmna bought me a 1970 torino with a 351 c for my 15 b-day...she payed 700 for it an im drivin it now 3 years leter..it stil has a long way...but she is a beauty..
man that was an awesome video. I remember when i was a little boy, my dad had 72 black as the night sky with blue stripes. I could barely see over the dash but i remember that car
Your vid. is awesome but what's up only with the two door fastback 1972 torino's? you should pic's of 1972 4 door fastback. I love them muscle cars :) :) :)
i fink this car is amazing and one of the best ever made and if u want 2 know how to do the classic movie start when the power of the car makes the front of the car raise on its backwheels then get back too me because it is wicked!!
Nice collection bunch of cool ones, they don't make them like this anymore.

In Michigan 2008. It was the bash at the beach. My car is 107 to 109.
I now have a matching convertible. Very cool who ever posted this.

I would like to find one someday and restore it, or fix it up, depending on the condition it's in.

I agree with you, Torinos are tough muscle cars, when I see one of these beast/machine I think about songs like:
502, Megadeth
Motopsycho, Megadeth
Fuel, Metallica
Signs of the end, Whitecross
La Grange, ZZ Top
