I wish people would give birds more credit. They're incredibly intelligent and totally adorable! They really aren't that much care, either. You just have to preen them every few days (if they don't have a mate), make sure you clean their cage, let them out a lot, and give them attention. A bird is simply happy if they're just on your shoulder, even.
