For one yod'm sucks... is my overallpoint. For two, it's just not as creative as most other 3D applications, there are FAR better "3d desktop" applications than this, that I can almost guarantee you haven't heard about.

cedega is an application based on wine to run window games >.> its basically wine for noobs XD anyways, Linux is OK i tried it for some months but it's really a pain in the ass since all the big software makers obviously ain't open source... so yah... opensource its a great idea, but wil allways be limited, not as many great applications runnin on it.

for ex. u cant burn VCDs without spedin time converting it to MPEG before recordin 4 some reason all the linux burners dont have a converter included as Nero or Roxio do. then if u have a, lets say, new '24 in. monitor and use linux then its gonna be a pain in the ass since its probably not yet supported and u gotta configure it manually through xorg and just takes away too much time, time is golden, people dont have time for linux imo

First of all: Beryl is discontinued, it is now known as Compiz-Fusion

Second: This cannot be compared with Beryl/Compiz at all! Yodm3D does NOT have compositing. Playing videos/games whilst rotating the cube won't work -- the video/game will look paused. Yodm3d just captures screenshots and runs a 3D app on top with those images. FAKE. Beryl/Compiz do not have that problem. They use REAL compositing engines. Also, Beryl/Compiz is more than just "a cube". It's a whole windowmanager.
