*YES SIDE: all international chambers of commerce, most independent economists, 3 main political parties, IFA, IBEC, IDA, ISME, SIPTU, ICTU, most major trade unions, Small Firms Association, Pfizer, Ryanair, Intel, Microsoft.
I think there are some interesting issues, R.E. funding etc. For me the draw of Libertas is their core agenda to make the EU democratic. Many people in the EU seem oblivious to the fact that we are NOT living in a democracy, in fact they believe the EU is democratic.
If/when democracy in the EU is acheived, then we can vote for the agendas we care for. I see Libertas as a means to an end, as a 'bridging party' to real democracy. No other party I saw vows to bring real democracy to the EU.
Declan Ganley is Irish and what difference does his nationality make to you. Obviously if you are pro Lisbon you don't hold much regard for your own nationality.
Your heart appears to be in the right place and I agree with the majority of your concepts but rumors regarding funding and the unification of almost every right wing quasi-fascist party on the libertas affiliate list for the 2009 EU elections as libertas candidates, terrify me to be honest... perhaps published finances and an official explanation for affiliations and actions contrary to your party manifesto might set minds at ease..
When EU-crats take such a corrupt approach to the Lisbon Treaty, and their own expenses, one must believe that they would be as corrupt in any other aspect of governing. This is not what we want.
When will they understand that, even if you believe in the European "dream", it is the corruption of our elites that stands in its way?
You cannot sincerely push an idealistic agenda, with big words like honesty, respect, rights and democracy, when everything about your behaviour is the very opposite.
Although I think many Irish people might prefer to vote No to the Lisbon treaty I fear that in the current economic climate people will vote with their wellets not their hearts. Sadly, Ireland is in the midst of the worse of this economic downturn, from Boom to Bust in a year. I wish them well but they may feel they have to vote YES for the protection the EU may provide them. Unemployment is expected to hit 17% next year. It is looking bad for Ireland and I wish them well.
By stimulating the SMEs? Are you guys trying to copy the US economic bubble or something? And whats wrong with the programs that EU is currently funding?!
Go to have a look at some of my videos from Corfu and the eu funded projects and then come and talk about the eu programs. If in Cyprus you can not see anything wrong it's either becasue it's early days of the funding or you are also part of the corruption like a politician or a major contractor.
hi !! i'm from malta what i'm surching for something good like this to listen too i thing it's time to make sure thay give us what thay promised to malta coz we are fad up fo same idea's all thay are doing to us it's just trying to take the piss & nothing else so i wish to see those opportunities witch thay promissed to the maltese citiezine's let's do what we have to do as i saed before i'm from malta & we need you in malta to make a libertas tour so avery 1 can understand more what you are say
most people speak english including the dutch who are the best english speakers in europe (decides england and ireland whom is their first language) and..... delcan does not speak dutch :)
En kennen wij - mijnheer Ganley, of onze journalisten - bij naam de nationale ambtenaren die de overige 20% van onze wetten opstellen ??
And do we, Mr Ganley or our journalists, know by name the national civil servants who draft the remaining 20% of our legislation ??
Is er dan zo'n groot verschil tussen hoe onze wetten zorden opgesteld op nationale ivm op Europees vlak? No, on both levels it's our elected representatives who accept, reject or amend what's been drawn up by the civil service!
Great .... yes kill the Lisbon treaty, clearly an infringement upon the individual citizen of Europe. Keep the institutions that are worthwhile in the Citizens Europe, that promote economic & social progress..... but be aware that a single European Party has all the hallmarks of being too powerful if successful and probably though well intentioned at the outset would be hijacked and used to push through the very Treaty that it has been formed to resist. Good Luck.
wonder how they (MEPs) will deal with the truth and what lies they will tell to discredit the party which will out their failures.good on you D.Ganley, heres to a new and better E.U.for all
How many times will we be here ? we have to prove to the government that NO = NO, something our gov dont understand, il deffinatly be saying NO again, our government are blaming the last NO vote for our downfall in the economy, I guess its my pet dogs fault aswell as he didnt eat as much one week.
Any wonder that our politicians here in Ireland hate Declan Ganley! Yes, he's THAT GOOD!!! He speaks with such conviction and truth! Go n-eiri an bothar leat Declan, agus leis an phartai "libertas"
Good on ya Ganley. Keep going. I love the bit about small business - small is beautiful. A vine holds on to it's support by a million little clasps; very hard to dislodge. Blessings - Rene
Good luck to Ms. van den Broek from the Irish South West. Unfortunately in Ireland we have government by a party that does not do apologies for its creations, and the alternative mainstream parties are lead by unimaginative and uninspiring mediocrities. Don't let the same happen to you in the Netherlands.
Congratulations and from us in Corfu-Greece to Eline van den Broek. It's about time something changes in Brussels. I wish you all the best. I only hope if you elected you will not forget us down here in little Corfu and the Ionian Islands. Such historic places and to be in such a mess just because Brussels is not interested. I hope you can get Mrs. Hubner this time around to check on the fraud on the projects funded by the EU.

It is a recipe for certain disaster.
