I have played Perses mandate and i think it sucks balls just when i thought that perseus mandate had given the fear series a bad name i played the project origin demo and it is the best out of all the fear games dont ask where i got it my cousin got it for me.

I completly agree with your expressed feeling about the game.

Since I got the demo free with a PC mag i decided to check it out as well I was very dissapointed.

One of the worst problem with the game is that its using a dated engine like co'mon at least put the effort to make the engine look up to scratch with other new games on the market.

I cant wait to see your review on the game...

Why I am pulling up the visual aspect:

Engine was good when it was new, that was four years ago - same environments, same enemies, same weapons but all the interesting characters are gone and you're playing as another guy with same powers as you? Wasn't "you" unique? No, ofcourse not, everyone is a spawn of alma and alma is now god.

I think the first game was actually quite good, especially when you're with such a sensitive mind as mine, haha. Visually, sound-wise and content wise the first game was very solid for the time, but when they try to get the same show on the road again... that is instant failure - I hoped it was only EA who raped their titles for every drip of a penny, but seems like I was wrong.

Well hopefully this is just a lame demo for an awesome game. I mean, I would really hate to see them do bad, after the success of F.E.A.R. although it would appear that they are just trying to make money off of it. The demo that came out almost a year ago for Timeshift sucked..then they put some time and effort into it and we have a good game coming out. so i guess it can work either way..

I don't have the answer to either or, but it seems like this expansion doesn't require the original FEAR as it is not spelled out as a Expansion as the Extraction Point was... But I'm not sure. And release date is kind of soon, as its just a stressproduction to throw in some money from the title.
