Huck says Gitmo conditions are "too good for what they've done" - but what have the majority of them done! Kidnapped, held without charge, without seeing the 'evidence' against them, tortured, after a few years dumped back on the street! Gitmo is the American version of Saddam's Abu Ghraib. The first victims of Empire are democracy, liberty and justice: not just for Americans but for everyone. Close Getmo, give Cuba its land back, charge the prisnoners in the US or let them go. RP 08

Great video -- the only thing missing is the quote from Admiral Mullen, who is in charge of Gitmo, saying the same thing as Huckabee the next day. (No video of the Admiral, just written report.)  Fred doesn't have a clue.

Huckabee is conservative, just not angry about it. Fred isn't conservative, only angry. Conservatives care about life, Fred (& Rush).

Great points, all! When Fred drops out and endorses McCain, you will see the definition of confusion: a Fred Thompson supporter trying to figure out who to back. The majority have been fooled into thinking Thompson is a Conservative, so they will likely eventually gravitate to Huckabee.

I tend to believe the man with a Constitutional Law degree from Vanderbilt than the guy with a bachelor's degree in comparative religions on the subject of Habeas Corpus and enemy combatants. Huckabee thinks he knows what he's talking about but he really has no idea.

Actually, the next day ADMIRAL MULLEN, who is in charge of Gitmo, said EXACTLY the same thing as Huckabee -- that it served no useful purpose to have them there, there was no legal protection for them if held domestically and it unnecessarily irritated other nations. Fred is ignorant, beligerant and out of touch.

I could care less about his law degree - look at his record and stances. He would leave a "life" issue (Constitutional right) to the states to decide, but he voted for federal restrictions on Free Speech (also Constitutional). I wouldn't wipe my butt with his degree.
