Ron Paul would no NOTHING about this "habit." The Senate determines its rules, not the President. Furthermore, "Unanimous consent" is exactly that: it means ALL must consent. Is even one Senator does not consent, then it cannot pass by unanimous consent. So it's a little disingenuous for Sen. DeMint to stand up in front of the chamber (which is most likely empty, by the way) and act all indignant about activities he MUST, by his very description, participate in.
