i see alot of places you tube sound cloud vemo ect becoming ghost towns its bad enough any way if you drop a gig log on or anything like with sound quality that is useless to copy and only a few seconds of it but still you get hammered for it they are just plain taking this too far

Good video, i think they are taking copyright a bit to far... The producers are not losing much (if anything) by allowing "user uploaded" content to stay on Youtube and as you said, it is free advertising for them. It allows people to discover new music etc and then if they like it they will go out and buy it.
