Since the blades are bigger, you can push more air while moving the fans at slower speed, so better noise/sound performance. Obviously the downside is that you need the space for that plus a thicker radiator because I would rather get a thick radiator plus normal thickness fans than a slim radiator plus the thicker fans
@DrunkenMunk123 I do PC projects just as hobby for myself. I have full time job at DazMode store, so YouTube is strictly for entertainment and fun. But thank you for thinking about me as a modder for hire.
As usual Daz, another great video-don't mind those folks that can't sit through a 26 minute video, they must suffer from ADD or something [new generation has shorter attention span than us old farts ;-) ].
You spoke of 1/2" compression fittings being a pain the ass; I couldn't agree more (after redoing my rig this month-taking off fittings, clean everything, then reattach...index finger and thumb were almost twice the normal size), but they sure look good in a large case.
Great looking case. I will be using the dubble rad setup in my new Coolermaster cosmos II ultra case as soon as it gets here,I will post the video(laundryman200) Thanks for the Idea.
@TomoSLB Very true. I can'tpick up right set from the first attempt either... Although I don't compromise with achieving my targeted design, otherwise I'd could build with what I have as first guess.
@DazMode I figured as much i like more tubing then fittings myself and compression fittings look weird in my builds for some reason, and dont think i meant i dont like your builds, because they rock!
@babydash123 This is some junk from radiator and tubing that get colored in Pink (?) from Orange coolant I had in my orange build. CPU block was sitting on a shelf for a month, so it was dry at time I was filming it.
@babydash123 That what I want to experiment with. I will try Koolance 0.27mm filter to see if that would change anything. On a side note that much garbage get stuck in CPU block only in the beginning. If you will keep the same components, you aren't see much after first clean up.
@DazMode How often should I change my cpu water block? I have stock XSPC rs240 model one. How long can I keep that for till I have to change it? Thanks!
I've watched it all the way. Even though you put the top on, the wrong way around. But I see you've got the notification for that. Anyway, it looks pretty good from where I'm sittin'. Interested to see the next video.
your videos help me a lot, im planning a build myself, and having HOT summers where im at, fans just wont get the temps i crave. I am looking for water cooling and im seeing other's builds and loving them, but im not going for cool looks, just performance. Your videos and tips have helped me a lot so I thank you and really appreciate everything.
@bdpakaknox oh yeah, told my buddy to order fittings for my entire system witch is not alot of them, saw that credit card bill,i almost fainted,oh well it looks good after the shock
@DazMode. Come on Daz! Where's the next part? I want to see the filling process! What a cliffhanger... PS you really rock, love your videos and store.
I watched the whole video. :) But you should've showed us a little tour at the end of the video so we could get a good understanding of how it looks, but you worked with it for 8 hours so I'll let it pass. :P :)
Guys you pass my test only for 50%. I did put top wrong on purpose to see if anybody pays any attention at all. But if you watch carefully you can see that final assembly has rigjt orientation. Im glad that my videos are not just white noise.
@DazMode lol! Thanks for testing us Daz! See, we follow you for a reason and we pay attention but I'll guess we have bit left :-) Have fun at CES and bring us some goodies!
Cool build! But why do you use old hardware? The next generation of intel processorns are out and nvidia have released the 500series and will soon release the 700 and amd have already released a card in the 7000-series. Why stick to 1366 and 4xx?
@LKxDESIGN Yea but the 400-series cards still consume alot more power and gets pretty hot. He could have bought two 560ti:s instead and get the same performance but with more overclocking potential and lower power consimption and heat. But if he already had them i can understand him ;)
15:40 i just think the idea already when you was explaining what to do before :P in fact i will comment about but was premature to do without watch the entire video :P
Loved this video Daz man. I like the close ups a lot! I like videos long too cause its relaxing to watch tubing being put together. I'm curious to see how your blocked cpu will function too. :)
Well bitspower fittings are like 10$ for regular and 16$ for 45degree or 90 degree, the amount of fittings he used I wouldnt be surprised if that costs him 300$+ just for the fittings, but he has a watercooling store why not. He could have used alot less but they look cool and are better for flow so whatever :p
Interesting. Absolutely, they look gorgeous compared to longer plastic tubes. I really like his decisions with more metal than plastic with short tube connections. I like visiting his store for the hell of it. Great products for my future build :)
I can watch looong water cooling vids anytime! Keep em coming Daz! Can't wait to see the filling of loop part! And yes, even the great Daz put things on the wrong way ;-) comforting indeed! :-)
so glad you didnt fill it up at the end!, apart from not cooling properly the cpu block may even leak the way you have put it together, its a quick one to fix though :)
@DazMode I did skip parts of it, but it's not bad! Some new to watercooling might want to know more before going into a big project or their first watercooling build.
@DazMode i really liked the lenght of this video. it allows you to show more detail on what ur doing and helps out people like me who have never done liquid cooling. question is all that pink build up inside the cpu block from using coloured coolant?
