  • kai greene always wears a red hoodie lol

  • he just made 15 lbs do work on that kid.

  • The fucking Hoody keeps distracting me whatever i want to look at....im only focused in the hoody XD

he looks like a funny Hulk with it....but in a nice way, i have much respect for him !

  • where was this from?

  • The big white guy struggling with awful form curling 115 seriously?

  • his forearms are so little compared to his bicep/triceps

  • FUCKIN LOVE BODY BUILDING

  • I am of the opinion that many bodybuilders suffer from a mental disorder. MMA professionals dont have a body like that because they are concerned with strength and fitness. This is in the same line as people who tattoo their whole body or put piercings through their eye lids. Bodybuilding is just a freakshow

  • @I3uzzKillinton Honestly, your opinion means nothing. At the end of the day, Kai Greene's body and mind surpasses yours in every way. Did you know he's also an accomplished artist? Who're you? At the end of the day, you're nobody, living a life somewhere doing a miniscule task in some dead end job.

  • I remember figuring this out on my own doing calves and it was an eureka moment and ever since my calves have been growing big and not just lifting the weight and feeling a burn and seeing no results.

  • I like Kai's view. Don't very off you ego. Do it right with dedication and the results will follow.

  • @604josh yea man he's cool,i train my muscles not my ego

  • lmao he was curling 15 lbs when he dropped the weight

  • smartest black guy ever i have nothing against black people they are awsome but he really is smart haha

  • @TheDieseltrucker Lets not forget COLIN POWEL.. as well...

  • Far out one of the best info sharing bodybuilding movies i've ever seen. Its not complicated, this is the essence.

  • >2012

    >curling in the squat rack

    I SHIGGY DIDDY

  • I can't believe that Kai got that big without EVER having lifted heavy weights for a significant period of time.

  • @robertborak Ofcourse he did, look at his traning video, dude is a beast. Benches like 5 plates

  • @zkyggen i know,

but then why does he in this video call out the young guy for wanting to lift heavy and then in the end he has him lifting 15 pound dumbells like a woman? lol

  • this is bullshit, you can be a weightlifter and a bodybuilder at the same time, i mean look at ronnie coleman, he can squat 800 lbs, and johnnie jackson can deadlift 715 for 2 reps, all of which i mentioned lift heavy weights and is stong and big as hell, i mean what the hell is the purpose of getting big if your not able to lift heavy weights. like ronnie coleman said "every body wanna be a bodybuilder, but nobody wanna lift some heavy ass weights".

  • @boypula what i am trying to say here is that you can be big and strong at the same time. kai has tremendous amount of muscle mass and he's lifting 30 pound dumbells? i mean he's big but not strong?? i mean what is the purpose of his muscles? just to show off?? atleast ronnie coleman and johhnie jackson had strength and power to prove their size. he's right about one thing, its not about the weight but come on that is really light for a man his size, think about what im saying dont hate on me.

  • @boypula I think the point he's trying to make is that he doesn't lift weights for strength which is what weightlifters are basically doing to lift heavier weights to get stronger. Bodybuilders focus more on what weight is good for them to gain muscle mass that's basically what bodybuilders strive for to gain size not strength. Just because he can lift heavy weights has nothing to do with him being a weightlifter he does so to increase his maximum potential for muscle growth.

  • @B37BB yeah i get what you mean and i also get what he means, but i am just baffled because for a man 4 times my size he's lifting the same weights as i do, sure he's saying that lifting heavy does not mean that you'll gain quality muscle mass but come on dude, that is so light for a man his size. if you watch kevin levrone he's lifting 100 lbs of dumbells on each hand, sure its not the same exercise as kai does but that just proves you can be big and strong at the same time.

  • Did Kai just get off running a 5k sprint?

    What's with his breathing.....

  • This is training on gear. All you kids who aren't on fucking gear need to stop copying what these bodybuilders are doing.

  • @Hoggerable you are retarded.

Gear or not, it's perfect form that "we kids" are here to see and replicate.

  • man this video inspired me, good info!

  • sitch lookin swole

  • hahahaha i laughed when the white dude trainsitioned into 15 lbs xDDDDD

  • i love the way kai greene explains things he explains everything so nice and simple and especially clear

  • he forgot to mention the anabolics..

  • got size but not strength

  • @MattDurden hes extremely strong he can bench over 500lbs, im not trying to be rude but i think you missed the point of the video. you can make a lighter weight feel heavy with these techniques

  • @MattDurden Sorry Matt, but your glibb, to say the least.

On a side note....the guy with the better body gets the chick, not the guy with an average body who walks up to a dime and says "Hey, I can curl 50's"....

  • @BarrysBit no barry, not at all

the guy with the right attitude gets the chick, despite of what he looks like

    this isnt even relevant

  • @BarrysBit Who said you need size to get a chick.

What if you're an athlete? There are more important things in life than looking good ( Which you'll look good anyway if you're athletic)

  • @BarrysBit You actually think girls go for the freak show muscle man. green looks like he would get out of breath walking to his car. I'd rather be fit and healthy than big and useless.

Id rather have muscles to go not for show.

  • you call that a bicep?

  • Comment removed

  • What a good teacher without making him feel like a dumbass. He is calmy telling him how dumb it is to continue doing what he is doing but being nice about it.

  • Comment removed

  • @iamshalomguy wtf is your problem? If you dont like bodybuilders why are you commenting on a video about them??

  • Comment removed

  • no, the difference between a bodybuilder and weightlifter is one takes steroids, the other doesn't

  • @TheSupercow2008 that's bullshit...i can name you so many power lifters, wrestlers, BASEBALL PLAYERS (A-ROD) who have taken steroids. The difference you pickson bodybuilders cuz they LOOK like they do and the rest don't. And besides, even if they do who are u to criticize them when you are in here watching a video of KAI GREENE. A man who has a strong following. Ask anywhere around the world who is Kai greene, and they'll tell you, and u are just a nobody at the end of the day.

  • @TheSupercow2008 um sorry to rain on your parade but they both take steroids

  • these are nice tips but how much strength does it build?

  • @VpY22 he clearly states multiple times that this is not about building strength. He talks about Hypertrophy which its objective is to build larger muscles not strength.

  • i dont like this guy..

  • Damn dude put on some pants please!

  • FINALLY a video that tells it right! Most other videos about workouts on YT is "oooh yeah I do 5x5 on this exercise and I can do 400lb bench presses blah blah blah". Correct biomechanical form paired with precise exercises that target failure for specific parts of different groupings of muscle is key. Not how many pounds you can curl. I JUST started a program that focuses on this... And yeah, it hurt the shiz out of my ego.

  • kai green breakin down dudes ego. respect.

  • Kai brings bodybuilding to a whole new level...his whole being is designed to be a bodybuilder..from mind..spirit..to body. I wouldnt be surprised if he takes the battle to Phil Heath very very soon

  • Ego lifting is dumb, but so is a natty trying to replicate how an olympia competator trains.

These guys will grow more than a natural without even lifting, it's not what you dreamers want to hear, but it's true.

  • @DlackBynamite totally agree man

  • @DlackBynamite wow really

you mean you dont even hav to workout

all you gota do is take steroids play ps3 and you will build muscle

    hahaha dumb ass

  • What a cool guy.. To take the time outta his busy day to help us weaker folk ;) Hope he wins it all one day

  • I find myself going for the whole "I need to lift big weight in order to put on muscle" thing, but then I think back to his tips and go back to the right way. Overall, amazing vid

  • i want kai as my personal trainer.

  • I hate when people get way to strict about form. Everyone has there own style and some people like to cheat a bit who gives a fuck look at Branch Warren his form is shit but he places higher than Kai

  • i think those steroids haters need to shut up on this vids......why? because what kai tell in this vids even more important to us, natural lifters.........strict form is everything....i dont understand hating people give on this vids, i am natural and this is great advice!!!!!!!

  • Kai is awesome!! He is very inspirational and insightful!

  • besides that natrual person will never get huge arms without putting up new weights even if its just curling... this guy is on so many kind of steroids he could lift needles and still get huge arms

  • thats kinda bullshit but not because he aint right but because cheating brings results and the dude's form wasnt that bad...

  • That's one huge ass dude

  • I don't know if this guy is doing the exercises wrong for the benefit of the video, or he actually does them like this. He really has no bicep

  • Kai is right, as Arnold used to say strict form is more important than just cheating too much, nearly all bb have the same ideas and it obviously works -- overload the muscle with WORK not always weight but in the offseason they will use heavier weights. Drugs or not amazing potential

  • FUCK yeah Kai

  • you cant apply the methods and advice from someone on steroids to someone who isnt

  • @bobharrisa what ever asshole

  • @car9melo ok go ahead and do 80 sets of incline bicep curls with 15pound dumbbells and see if that pump and mind muscle connection theory works?

  • @bobharrisa

since when did he say he does 80 sets fuck head

its about form not trying to fuckin curl 50kgs to show off idiot

  • @car9melo not literally 80 sets you dumb shit

  • @bobharrisa you said it idiot

dont think that just because some1 isnt on steroids they cant train similar to ppl who are

  • @bobharrisa get real for a second tho, good form is super important for natural guys.

  • @bobharrisa Based upon what?

You can apply the exact same fucking methods and advice, because the muscles aren't built any differently.

    Oh forgive me, you're right.

Natural - Go to the gym, focus on strict form with manageable weights.

Steroids - Sit on your ass all day talking shit on youtube and playing video games, inject yourself with steroids before every meal and presto! Instant muscle.

    Gimme a break.

  • @Maddolis lol thats right.....i think its funny because everybody thinking you dont need to train right with steroids

  • @Maddolis dude these pros are chemically and hormonally enhanced..they have much higher levels of muscular endurance and atleast 2x recovery & hypertrophy rate.

Hence how they do ridiculius amounts of sets and volume and dont manage to overtrain. You cant compare....

  • has he cyntholized his biceps before this vid...never seen them like this before.....and 50% of the pros have movements like the dude....i guess there is no disharmoni beetween the contraction and movement

  • @Imovaneful Yes he has some seo in his arms its very obvious right here lol

Anyways pretty much every pro uses seo, the most impressing non-seo arms are still Ron Colemans

Form doesnt matter much if youre on the right doses

  • @guitayrplaya yes lollllllll

  • lolllll started watching this vid thought he was messing around doing duche bag curls on purpose so kai can show how to do it right, like a "what not to do video". had no idea this dude was serious wow smh

  • Synthol in Kai biceps....balloons!!

  • @144hitman Nope.

  • 3:18 Squuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • roids and synthol

  • @TheSupercow2008 yea if it was only that easy

  • I am the exact opposite but i love the way he put it. I only care about the weight i can life and the power i develop, not the muscle bellies that result

  • the situation?

  • After i watched this video yesterday i had the best bicep workout ive ever done!!

  • @lewdude2k8 Haha I totally agree with you! since I watched this video I always kept in mind that I need to stretch and contract the muscle no matter what exercise basically. My workouts has gotten so much better. So much better.

  • look at his fucking biceps!!!

  • THis just gave me an answear That ive been searching for the last couple of years

  • You can learn a lot from this guy.

  • Greene looks like the unmasked Cyrax from Mortal Kombat

  • Kai ur the man, understanding both worlds of lifting and explaining it properly. More people need to be like KAI!! and like this dude who is listening and absorbing well put info

  • I wish he wouldn't use the term "weightlifter" and then go on to talk about how they bench and curl though.... I know it might just be semantics and he's using it as a general term. But a Weightlifter is a pretty specific type of lifter..

  • I've a question ive been training for over a year, my left bicep gives in well before my right, is there anyway to sort this problem an have them on par???

  • @b0xing123 Do exericses one arm at a time, starting with the weakest, say you do 10 reps, stop at 10 on the stronger arm

  • @b0xing123 nope, almost everyone has muscle asymmetry which can't be fixed anyhow

  • @b0xing123 i had the same problem my left was 22 while my right was 21 after 1month of sole right arm isolation work both my arms became 22

  • @iamshalomguy stop fapping so much :P

  • @MadnessJuan no before u walk you have to crawl

  • lol he's so huge he's out of breath just flexing his biceps...

  • @Kenazzle Or maybe cuz he's at a certain heart rate for his workout, he's breathing like that?

  • @Kenazzle instead mocking him on youtube can you do that exactly with the same weight?

  • this guy needs to drop the weight his lifting i feel like slapping him...

  • I Love the Way Kai Is Talking...

  • VERY Educational!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There is a difference between weight training/weight lifting and weightlifting. And there is a difference between a powerlifting, weightlifting, and bodybuilding. Two are sports. One is a modeling contest.

  • kai is the legend

  • kai greene is strong as fuck when he tries to move weight. no his life isnt based around moving a bus, he cares about muscle size. the man reps 500+ on the bench and your gonna say sacrifice size for strength? wtf? who cares?

  • So basically, build a big body and have little strength?

  • @MadnessJuan Pretty much, bodybuilders are not strong at all according to their bodyweight.

  • @MadnessJuan he is a bodybuilder you idiot...

  • @Chopp3dOuT Damn really, I would've never guessed.

I thought he was a dancer, shit.

  • @MadnessJuan then why are you talking about strength when that is not what is important in his career dumbass

  • @Chopp3dOuT Because I wasn't talking about him, e-thug, I was talking about what he was saying. I never said "So he only lifts to be huge while being weak as fuck? what a punk ass." I

  • hell never be an olympic weightlifter because he does roids!

  • @magicapricot

    1. What gave you the impression he has any intentions of becoming an Olympic weightlifter?

    2. You do realize that the majority of Olympic weightlifters are on 'roids'?

  • @6MinVanguard 1. i obviously didnt think that he had those intentions because he said himself "ill never be a weightlifter"

    2. present your sources because olympic athletes are under harsh testings

  • @magicapricot LOL at "harsh testings", you must be new here

  • I usually do not go on youtube and post comments like: ''that guy is on the juice'' whenever I see someone bulked up. But that guy who trains with Kai, well...he doesn't look so big that you say ''he takes steroids'' at a first glance. But he looks like someone who has trained hard for a few years, and someone like that should be able to do a decent biceps curl. So, he is probably someone who started training a few weeks before, and yes, he is on steroids.

  • Valuable lessons... This guy will win a Mr. Olympia pretty soon

  • This is amazing. Thank you kai for some amazing advice

  • i love this guy, he's so relaxed. he knows his shit.

  • This training doesn't really work if you aren't on roids. Higher reps and glycogen depletion takes a lot of recovery which most peoples bodies suck at compared to just going heavy with lower reps.

  • A weightlifter is a person who lifts weights (for strength or strong man comps.) . A bodybuilder is a sculptor who uses muscle to shape their bodies into a work of art.

  • i THINK bb like kai can make compromise where they would go heavy on compounds with using other muscles recruited like bench press, squat, deadlift and then they can go low on weights on the isolation work of smaller muscles like triceps, biceps, delts, etc. ive seen vid of kai benching 500 pounds so he is strong.

  • You're supposed to use more weight, but still use proper form.

More weight + Shit form = useless gym rat

    More weight + Proper form = weightlifter/bodybuilder

This is stupid to look at this video and go "heavy weights are stupid" Lift heavy you fat fucks.

  • @guitayrplaya It is very hard to conquer the perfect form with heavier weight, so basically what the video is showing is that you have to conquer the form before you start increasing. It is far more beneficial lifting smaller weights and stimulating the whole muscle correctly than lifting heavy weights incorrectly and not stimulating the muscle at all.

  • @MrBunnyRanch

And by the way the KEY to muscle hypertrophy is progressive overload, rest, eat, sleep, aas and peptides.

  • @MrBunnyRanch

If curling 10lbs dumbbells works for you then fine. For me the key is to lift as heavy as I can while maintaining decent form. I couldn't even feel my muscles lifting such a small amount of weight. I'll tell ya, Kai is shitting you all. He didn't built that with these retarded weights. If you're skinny as fuck, then (contraction) will do shit to you. He has all the mass he needs. Watch Ronnie Coleman 10 yrs ago and tell him to lower the weight.

  • perfect example of some1 who just lifts heavy weight and looks big, and some1 who knows how to build muscles so they show their true definition

  • @RandarserousRex

thats good for you, but not everyone is built like that

I do better with lighter weights wth controlled movemetns than using heavy weights tryin to

squeeze...everyone is diferent but main idea is to CONTRACT, squeeze muscle to gain most benefit...but if that 75 lb curl works for you than sure go ahead but switch it up sometime

i mean Kai Greene is professional, he knows what he is saying

  • honestly, the thing i hate about the fitness world is how everyone thinks one thing will work for them because it works for others. Every bodybuilding video should have a disclaimer warning you that this may not work for you. Find out what works for you and stick to it. everyones body reacts differently.

  • @dethbring I agree. Everyone's body is different. All this arguing I see online about "do the exercise this way" or you're doing it wrong is usually pointless since the person stating that is only referring to how the exercise worked for him, and what didn't work for him could work well for someone else.

  • to the guy below me. please STFU

  • Kai is just trolling you. If you think he could build that physique using so small pundages then you're wrong. All he has to do is to maintain the muscles and come shredded to contest. He can train like whatever the fak he wants.

  • @kox444 No, this is THE key to muscle hyperthropy. What he's saying is 100% true, if you want to seriously gain muscle you have to leave your ego at the front door of the gym and pick that bitch back up when you walk out

  • @RandarserousRex

Whoa boy, watch your elbows if you curling 75lbs

  • 3:49 I just copied what you did from youtube Kai, and ur telling me I need to drop the weight

  • did neone realize Kai is wearing thong

  • 2:19 kai struggle with 30pds xD

  • Great training advice from a smart bodybuilder..lucky guy!

  • they are full of crap. if yo uwatch ronnie coleman and jay cutler they use terrible form and dont do the full stretch or contraction. That stuff is a bunch of balony. the only thing that matters is if your muscles are sore the next day. and you can get the same soreness no matter how much you stretch or not.

  • Basically, Form --> Lifting heavy weights

  • @warpvirus ok hes only the 3rd best bodybuilder in the world

  • @Bava87 Ya but he also forgets to mention that he's on roids and hgh (not that I have a problem with that)

  • @rammstein2k also using that logic that he's the 3rd best bb we should listen to him well what about Ronnie Coleman THE BEST bb. He lifts heavy as fk!

again no hate just playing devils advocate cause bb is a very subjective sport it affects everyone differently

  • @Bava87 You could say that he lost the 2nd place, only to due Cutler's popularity, he was really better at the 2011 Olympia.

  • @warpvirus I always thought form was more important than lifting more weight and compromising proper form. I still lift heavy while trying to keep proper form, but after seeing this video I will not be so fixated on the weight I lift, and will contract my muscles more.

  • @warpvirus you are an idiot !! :D

  • @warpvirus sarcastic?

  • @warpvirus you must be the jimmy struthers that twins were talking about

  • MIKE THE SITUATION!!!

  • a lot of people may dis agree but i think for a man with big arms, his forearms sure is small.

  • WHEN THIS MAN SPEAKS PEOPLE LISTEN!

  • beginning i mean lol*
